I'm sorry that you seem to not like me or my opinions. This is not the first time you have commented on one of my posts. In fact from some of your posts you seem to have a problem with most of the Perchance community. I was genuinely trying to be helpful by pointing that the dev had recently provided an update about the exact issue the OP was asking about. I'm sorry my language wasn't sensitive to the fact that someone other than the OP might be offended by my post. Please feel free to completely ignore any future post I make and save your energy for something more productive. Like asking "Real Questions". Are you implying that all of the other questions from the community are somehow not real? This is the kind of thing you do...by pointing how a post may be offensive you try to get others to see it that way. Leave me out of your little crusade. And water is wet by the way. ๐Ÿ‘

The chat on my page isn't very busy, but even with a slow chat I don't always catch everything that happens there. I can't be online 24/7 to monitor it. This is a hobby, not my job. You also have to remember that "minor" means different things in different countries and there is no real age verification here. The "minor" you are referring to could very well have been an adult trolling or even law enforcement trying to attract a predator.

Why do you say that? It's a forum for Perchance so how could you think it was about anything else.

Your missing the point. It doesn't matter what users want. If the dev wants to upgrade to a new model it's their decision. Unless you own or otherwise have some stake (and thus a vote) in this business, then you (and I) have no say in what they do. What is more helpful is providing good feedback (bugs, quirks, failures) that can be used to make decisions. If you want to help the dev make things better you do so with constructive feedback that informs rather than blames or cajoles. Those who want a vote in how their preferred image or text ai works should either use a paid service that allows users to have a say, or create/download and train your own.

I believe @Randomize@lemmy.world is saying the same thing you are...only a bit more passionately ๐Ÿ˜

Losing Perchance would be a nightmare for me. I love my t2i page and the people who frequent it. My friend Quinerous and I have put a lot of work into it. It would be an absolute shame for the dev to feel like they are unappreciated and give up.

You have no rights! (lemmy.world)
submitted 4 months ago by Mack2@lemmy.world to c/perchance@lemmy.world

When it comes to the use of Perchance, you have no rights. This is service provided for free by a private individual with no promises or guarantees. If you like the service then exhibit some patience and let the dev do their work. If you don't like the way things are progressing, by all means, find a new service. Stop with the demands and childish posts about how you're done using this service and that you're going to find a better one. Just leave. None of us need to know that your leaving. We all see the issues with the generators, and we either choose to be patient and support the dev, or leave. Why create more angst and hate? Enough with the entitled attitudes...you aren't entitled to anything from the dev. I hope you choose to stay and support the person who provides this amazing and free service. Either way, I hope you have an awesome day!! ๐Ÿ˜

Have fun funding it and then dealing with people who don't like the decisions you make regarding your generator that you built and funded with your own hard earned money. Buh-bye now! ๐Ÿ˜˜

[-] Mack2@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

It's the only list doing that out of all the lists I use. It may be an issue with my phone or browser...but why only that one list? Others are at least the same size or bigger. It's just weird. Thanks for the advice though.

Oh, I forgot to ask....how do you feel about sporks? ๐Ÿค”

[-] Mack2@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

Thanks! I understand the sharing and duplicating if they plan on actually changing things. Most of the duplicates I've seen are exactly the same and just a way to have their own copy. If they left it private I wouldn't care, but they leave my banner and all of the meta info the same so it shows up on searches like it's the original. I'm pretty sure some people I've banned for inappropriate content have done this as well. I have a notice asking people to ask permission before copying so I can share those concerns, but so far not a single.person has asked. Guess I may be expecting too much lol.

Prevent forking? (lemmy.world)
submitted 5 months ago by Mack2@lemmy.world to c/perchance@lemmy.world

Is there a way to prevent my t2i generator page from being forked without permission (aside from making it private)? I've noticed that some of the other popular gens have a mechanism that disable forks. Thanks in advance for any suggestions ๐Ÿ˜

I love this idea.

I logged out and cleared my cache, as I was having non-perchance issues. I logged back in, and did all the acknowledging I'm over 18 stuff, and I still can't see nsfw from other people. I run a generator and need to see that stuff to ensure that it's not stuff I need to ban someone for. Please help.

Noob Question (lemmy.world)
submitted 7 months ago by Mack2@lemmy.world to c/perchance@lemmy.world

Let me start by saying thank you to all of the people who have made creating a t2i page quick and easy. The t2i framework makes itba snap to get a page up and running. I am a complete noob to coding so I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing but I'm doing it with confidence lol.

The question: Is there a way to pass the prompt data from a select input directly into a paragraph (description) box. I know modifiers can do it but I would like to try something different (for me). I'd like to try a gen option, using the t2i framework, where a user can see in real-time what is being added to the prompt without having to use modifiers to do so.

Thanks for any productive responses. Please go easy on the new guy. I can't be doing all that bad as I've had over 22k views in a couple of weeks. ๐Ÿ˜

Thanks, Mack
