If you were a gay football player that admired Jordan Henderson for his outspokeness and support about being gay, in an industry that's still very hard to come out in, suddenly turn around and play in a country that actively punishes you for something you have no control over...can you not see how they'd feel quite betrayed and disappointed?

While I agree with you completely, it's quite funny that the reason a lot of big clubs avoided moving for him earlier, despite his immense talent, was a belief that he was lazy and unmotivated due to his languid style.
That's a great leap and placement there - Alisson had no chance.
