Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Shop ES-355. This is a killer guitar. I have a 1986 Les Paul Custom that I've had since 1987. This 355 comes with the same upgrades of gold hardware, ebony fretboard, real mother of pearl block inlays, and five ply binding. Add to that potted Gibson Custombucker pickups, CTS pots, Mallory capacitors, and Switchcraft pickup selector and output jack, and it's a complete package. My only wish is that they would have gone with a polyurethane gloss finish instead of the Vintage Old Sheen. But I can live with that. The back of the neck has a satin finish, so it's easy to get around on. Speaking of the neck, this is probably the largest neck I have on any of my guitars. It's bigger than the Les Paul, and bigger than the Epiphone ES-335's I have. But apparently it is still not as big as a 1958 neck would be. I actually find it quite comfortable to play.
