Buy a prepaid visa with cash. Not technically a credit card, but it may be what you're looking for.

In the presidenty? Absolutely. At the vast majority of jobs? I disagree. I want my boss to have my back and take care of his guys, to act as a shield between me and any ridiculous requests from higher levels.

That's amazing! I'm able to sell up to 7 vacation days per year if I don't use them, but it's only my standard hourly rate.

IT manager of more than a decade here. Vacation days are earned. They're part of your pay. If you're not taking vacation days, you may as well be not cashing a paycheck. That's unacceptable.

If several folks request off the same day I'll gently ask if anyone is willing to swap. If they're not willing or able, it's OK. I'm paid more and I will work the overtime needed to cover them, because they earned it and it's their time. Period. The company will survive a few days of less stellar work so that my guys and gals can live their life and work a job where they feel confident that they're taken care of.

Finding a good physician is as difficult as finding a good romance or a good therapist. You need to shop around to find the right fit. After years of struggling with horrible Healthcare I finally found the perfect fit - a middle aged lesbian Nurse Practitioner working out of a health center that caters to lower income folks and the LGBTQ community. Every time I go in we chit chat for a few minutes, then she spends at least half an hour with me going through all of my concerns. She's very thorough and has made a dramatically positive experience in my health. I can even shoot her an email any time and she gets back to me within a day.

I think it helps that the health center's board of directors is entirely staffed by the physicians working there, overseen by an elderly doctor who spent his entire career helping the needy in his community.

Keep trying. It's frustrating, but the right fit is out there.

Awesome movie, and has stayed incredibly relevant.

I was in possession of it, but he kept the ammo "hidden" on top of a cabinet.

My father also bought me a gun as a birthday present as a teenager, and looking back it was wholly inappropriate and dangerous. Granted, I never had thoughts of killing people.

It depends highly on what you will be programming.

Homeless at 18. First apartment at 20. Put myself through college going part time while working 2 jobs, 21-25. Bought my first home at 29. Hit 6 figures at 33. Now in the top 10% of earners in my city.

I had no one, no support network. Just me and a goal and strategic hard work every single day.

The tough part is I'm now in my mid 30s and have had very little life experience because all I've been doing is working. Never been on an airplane or have been on a vacation. No passport or friends or social life outside of 2 internet friends. It's been tough to sit down and figure out what will actually make me happy now that I've achieved my life goals.

Jesus. When I was 14 I was playing with action figures. I can't imagine what would drive a 14 year old to want to hurt people at this scale.

I've recently met a man whose dating profile said that he's Graysexual. I tried Googling the term, but it's a bit confusing and I'm hoping to get a straightforward breakdown from the kind folks in this community.

From what I gather, it's a branch of asexuality that sometimes feels sexual attraction. That's a bit ambiguous, though.

I will ask the person directly once we've spoken more, but it will help to have a foundation of understanding beforehand. Thanks ahead of time!

My bestie broke both of his arms and wrists two days ago. He's in his 20s, a gamer, has a pregnant wife and a young kid. Any ideas for gifts I can get to cheer him up? He'll have no use of his arms for 3 months.

Already got a bidet for him and hooked it up. Looking into accessible gaming controllers, but he said that the pain is so bad rn that even alternative controllers are probably a no go.

My best friend broke both of his arms and wrists, and will have zero use for 3-4 months. I'm trying to figure out some way for him to play videogames while recovering. Maybe some kind of foot controller? A mouth controller?

He's feeling miserable from the pain and I know that gaming would take his mind off of it.

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

I'm in my mid 30s and make 6 figures in IT. I'm considering joining the Air Force Reserves. Is this a stupid idea?

I always regretted not enlisting in my 20s as I feel a strong personal drive to serve my country. I feel that a part time enlistment would fill that void. Any thoughts or experiences are appreciated.

Took me a few hours to figure this out, figured I'd pass it along. Forgive formatting, I'm on mobile.

I have a host name whose dns points to my home IP. I use this for game servers for my buddies. Should I be worried about my home IP being easily accessible like this, and should I get a physical firewall appliance to protect myself?

Servers are running Windows Server 2019 and Mac OSX.

Rice crispies and marshmallows were on sale, but I want to fancy them up a bit.

I'm new to manga and have read the above. I get hooked on the cat and mouse of "How will our protagonist overcome it this time?". Any manga recommendations like this?

Of the above, Berserk was my favorite. Beefy men are a plus.

Thanks ahead of time!

I have a raspberry Pi 4B that is connected to a CRT TV via Composite and controlled with a PS4 controller. I'd like to use the Pi for Netflix, Plex client, and playing DVDs from an ext drive. What distro would be best for this?

I tossed Retro Pi onto it and the controls work great but I can't figure out how to install the media apps.

Pretend you have a fully functioning kitchen and filtered water. There is no limit to how much food you can bring, but you have to carry it. What would you bring?

I'm taking a long biking trip soon and want to share my live location with my boyfriend in case something happens. Any recommendations for privacy-focused apps that can accomplish this? I'm on Android, he's on iOS.

I have a 5 year old cat that I adopted 3 years ago, and I'd like to get him a companion but I'm struggling to identify the characteristics I should look for. Can anyone offer advice?

He's a rugged old soul. He loves playing with my 2 year old dog but otherwise just lounges around nearby but not touching - typical Russian Blue. He does try to clean and cuddle the dog, but the pup doesn't understand and runs away. He was actively cuddling with other cats at the shelter when I adopted him so I think he'll do well with a housemate.

I've met a few shelter cats this week but I'm stressing about identifying which would be a good fit. Are male and female both a good bet? Would it be best to get a kitten, an older cat, or somewhere in between? Playful or extremely lazy, or a lap cat?

I know I'll be happy with any choice, so I'm mostly focused on finding a good match for my Russian Blue. Thanks.
