The PCE is Spain’s historic Communist Party, which, unfortunately, has now become just another social democratic party. The PCTE is one of the many splinter groups that have emerged from the PCE in an attempt to return to the communist path, and at party level it appears to be the one with the most support, although it holds certain controversial positions on trans rights. The PCTE draws inspiration from the Greek KKE.

In my case, I am an militant in the CJS (Coordinadora Juvenil Socialista), one of the organisations that make up the new "Movimiento Socialista" which is booming, which seeks to lay the foundations for rebuilding the Communist Party and expanding it at least to a European scale.

You don’t need to worry about the Maoist issue; it’s marginal in Spain 😁

As a Spaniard, I can say that the socdems of the PCE aren’t a good choice for a communist to join, as unfortunately they’re communists in name only these days.

There are other more interesting organisations such as the PCTE, or if you are young, it is better to join one of the organisations of Socialist Movement, which is gaining a lot of support and also has a strong presence on university campuses https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movimiento_Socialista_(Pa%C3%ADs_Vasco). They have a newspaper https://diariosocialista.net/. Furthermore, the members of the organisations of the Socialist Movement are very diverse and include many transgender people among their ranks.
