Are you in a hcol area op? I know you said moving is not an option but as far as I understand it, in some places the only way you're going to be able to remove a sizeable chunk out of living expenses is being willing to commute.

No it would just block interactions between the the 2 communities as far as I understand it

Hentai of underage persons. A lot of the time they'll try to pretend it's not by dressing it in a fantasy or scifi setting but that's what it essentially is. I personally see it as cp

To everyone saying just block the communities:

  1. I don't want to have to block communities. In order to know I need to block a community, I have to see content which I feel is worth blocking. That's fine for most cases but in this case that is not fine (to me personally).

  2. I don't necessarily want to associate or interact with people who are fine having a server with loli as their home server. Not to be mean about it but that's just how I feel flat out.

I think this is an instance where de-federation is the correct course of action.

Can we get a consensus on whether our community should de-federate with servers that host loli? I personally think we should block them, and if that ends up not being the consensus here then I'll probably sign up on another server. I hope we can all agree to set that boundary though because I like it here and it seems otherwise pretty cool.

This is something that is actively being worked on fyi :) Hopefully it's fixed soon. I think it's just a relic from when these servers were a lot less populated.

Hello everyone, coming here from reddit. Hopefully the federated concept catches on because I'm tired of the cycle of cool things becoming crappier over time to please investors or make a quick buck. I had mostly stopped interacting with mainstream reddit years ago due to the deteriorating quality of posts and discussions.

Some communities I'd love to see over here include: askhistorians, askscience, digitalart, gadgets, gamedev, hardware, indiegaming, mycology, nutrition, the 'learn' subreddits (ie learnmath, learnprogramming, ect), philosophy, pixelart, proceduralgeneration, and stopdrinking.

If anyone knows any good communities to 'subscribe' to that seem like they'd fit the kind of thing I'm looking for I'd be happy to hear them.

Hopefully joining a server of self described networking enthusiast makes this transition as seamless as could reasonably be expected lol. I like the rules here too. A very solid foundation to start on.
