Can we make "that" a lemmy thing instead? Still works and dummies are gonna post these kinds of comments anyway, but at least we can kind of own it.

Oh man. Here we go. Reddit has a huge pro-flossing bias and it's leaking over with all the refuges apparently. This gets me downvoted to absolute oblivion on reddit and likely will here as well, but I just want to remind everyone this is all anectodotal information. There's not strong evidence that you really need to floss, so don't let these flossers guilt you if it's not your thing. I'm maybe a bit of an anti-dentite I guess, but buzz feed did a nice article on this and many sources also picked up the ap newsfeed on the lack of scientific data for this commonly pushed practice :

Little bit on struggle bus. Looks like work blocks the instance I registered on so tried lemmy.world, but I guess I need a totally separate account to login to that? Seems a little fussy

I use old scotch to chase my printer ink. Everyone raves about magenta, but they just don't appreciate the nuance of a good cyan.

I'm downvoting you. You point out a good example of why it really is that bad and then go on to say it's not that bad. I disagree and think it's pretty bad.

Just get a site is down message on connect. Accessing through browser also gives failed connection. No problems on my end.

I don't see this as a popular solution anymore. It doesn't address the issue of transfers and the last mile problem. Autonomous rides hare vehicles seems like the next logical step. When enough vehicles are autonomous we can double travel speed and increase safety by 10fold.

Guess I should have been more specific, I thought this was just a thread for lemmy.fmhy.ml "instance" An instance is just another word for a fediverse server correct? This particular instance has been down for hours at a time within the past few days. I guess it doesn't really matter so much which instance I hop on though? That's part of the point? I just need to me more quick to switch instances in my app if having difficulty connecting.

Dude, scrolling by this on connect and panicked that the ads were already hitting Lemmy!

Lots of Lemmy apps already and more coming, but apps aren't going to turn the tide. Only content will do that. Until there are more subs here, the majority will remain hesitant to leave.
