This is what I said but I'd want them to rework it some. Largely for far less rape.
I was just thinking of it like the point on an egg but that could well be, too. Since it's in space the traditional egg shape doesn't really confer many benefits.

Sounds like bs to me. He had to waive laws to do this. And if he didn't do this what would happen? Would he get in trouble with the super president?
SFF Gaming is for sci-fi and fantasy gaming of all types. It's kinda broad scope but I don't really wanna narrow it too much. Something I'm wrestling with is how "mainstream" of news should I post? I won't stop others from posting things as long as they're relevant, but for example would it be constructive for me to post the story about the Talos Principle 2 release date? It's cool news but I'm sure most people will see it elsewhere so I feel like me posting it to my community would only serve to clog feeds. I would like to mainly focus on smaller stuff, though. Projects that might not other get many eyeballs.
Apparently our systems send an alert to IT and I think we get a call if an unapproved device is plugged in, in addition to it not working.
Yep! In part it's a refuge for Reddit's Brandon Sanderson community but we'd like to do much more than that. In addition to a few Sando subs we have Fantasy General, Malazan, Short Stories, Discworld, and more. Unfortunately we don't have much traffic or content yet, so I'm doing my best to get things flowing.
Like... Is there anyone at this point who's not aware that companies would literally be happy to slit your throat and make your dog watch if they thought it'd make them a little more money? They are, by design, heartless machines intended to soak up money no matter the cost. And that's objective fact. That's just what they do, that's what that machine is for. And yet people continue to act like this isn't the case.
Probably couldn't bear the heat.
sffa.community stands for Science Fiction Fantasy Alliance. It's a small instance focused on Sci-fi and Fantasy in all mediums but its still trying to get on its feet.
I mean businesses under capitalism have to support themselves somehow. On the web if you're not a storefront you basically have to either advertise or offer subs.

Maybe it's just me trying to make something out of nothing but I think this adds to the idea that individual "leaders" are kinda outdated for most aspects of governance.
