You can make the part that is legally considered a gun. There is one guy that made a completely PLA gun, but it used special custom ammo.

There's multiple designs that just need a trip to the hardware store to complete.

Well, for a Glock that'd be a Lower Parts Kit, a slide (with barrel), locking block, and rails.

For some guns, like the HiPoint C9, a kit usually has all the replacement parts you need.

The specific parts you need can usually be found in the instructions for the 3d print files.

PETG tends to have more flex to it than PLA+, which can be an issue if a design wasn't made with that in mind. I've played around with stuff like PA-CF, but PLA+ is cheap.

"Own a PPSH for home defense, since that's what the Politburo intended. Four counter-revolutionaries break into my house. "What the dialectic?" I say as I grab my Red Army Budenovka and 3-Lin rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my TT-30 on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the DSHK mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with BZT AP-I rounds. "Za Stalina, tovarishchi!" I shout as the incendiary rounds shred two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified reactionary. He bleeds out waiting on the ambulance to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the Politburo intended."

We are long past the days of the one shot and it breaks liberator pistol.

I've fired hundreds of rounds out of my Glock 19 Schnitzel without issue.

And I understand that not everyone can get their hands on a high quality "real" parts kit, but it's not just frames that have come a long way. But even the single shot guns have gone a long way!

I've got a Harlot with a dime breech that I've put dozens of (admittedly .22 short) rounds through. You can build one of those for like $20-$30.

There's plenty of other awesome builds that can withstand hundreds or even thousands of rounds, made out of good ol' PLA+.

Balancing my desire to post cool photos with my OpSec desires. Might set stuff up for it soon.

I'm a big fan of copper frangibles myself. They have less over-penetration risk, as a bonus, but they can injure someone just as well.

You can also shoot on public land, or an outdoor range, rather than an indoor range which often ends up with large amounts of lead.

Stay safe, and stay healthy comrades. Your safety doesn't need to come at the cost of your health.

Would be interested to see you post in c/guns

That's what I plan on doing

It's just like the California micro-stamp laws, where technically the technology exists, but in practice it just restricts everything.
