The whole system is crap.

We should have gotten something that's actually decentralised and P2P like Aether.

What we got was centralised servers + a glorified RSS feed that enables even more echo chambers than Reddit did... The fediverse is doomed to remain irrelevant imho

A parte la clausola sull'antifascismo, che per quanto la condivida, secondo me andrebbe estesa a tutte le forme di estremismo perché a prescindere dall'orientamento politico, tutte queste community si trasformano in merdai ed echo chambers; quello che mi lascia un po' perplesso è:

Le comunità che non riusciranno ad auto-moderarsi verranno richiamate dagli admin e se non sarà possibile trovare una soluzione verranno eliminate.

Ok ma allora cosa cambia da reddit? Se gli admin si svegliano col piede sbagliato fanno quello che vogliono anche qui?

Un problema attuale è che reddit sta togliendo forzatamente i moderatori dalle community che scioperano. Quindi metti caso che tra 10 anni feddit è famoso, e che c'è una community di particolare rilevanza... Bom, un admin decide che quella community non va più bene e la oblitera.

Ok che fondamentalmente quando entri in un'istanza sei sempre in "casa di qualcuno" e devi stare alle sue regole, e che se non ti piacciono puoi andare altrove o farti la tua istanza ma, ecco, volevo capire se questo scenario è stato previsto quantomeno, e se effettivamente la federazione può mitigare eventuali abusi di potere di questo genere.
