I'm glad I'm not the only one who asks this question in their head when PMC is written.

Not surprising the Bandera worshipping UCC isn't too happy about the possibility of being publicly outed as the Nazi Ukrainian Canadian organisation.

Not huge news but interesting to see it come into the spotlight, I'd suppose sympathy time for Ukraine is coming to an end.

Oof, I'd heard things like the Ford truck came with them but I'd suppose maybe that isn't universal

Don't the manufacturers give adapters now? Maybe that's only on newer models

I'm using this site to select mine. They do testing in the effectiveness of them at preventing concussions.

I think the sentiment is that it's always being recommended by sus sources, I've seen some sus evidence about it but nothing concrete.

That is correct. Lemmy.ml is an instance that we're federated with.

The premise of how Lemmy works is that there are multiple sites and each site has communities on it. Each of those sites is an instance and when an instance federates with another instance, accounts from either instance and interact with each other.

Your home account is on Lemmygrad.ml but we're federated with Lemmy.ml which allows you to interact with their communities, accounts, etc

When an instance defederates from your home instance (the one you made an account on), you can no longer interact with their instance. An example of this is Lemmy.world

Things can get confusing quick when you talk about defederating because communities on an instance can block interaction from another instance rather than the whole instance defederating.

The write up seemed to suggest it's a cultural disconnect. I don't find it hard to believe that a film produced by the hyper capitalist US may not resonate well in a county building socialism, be that China or other AES'.

I recall on the Electronic Intifada reporting that the M113s they're sending in are remotely operated. I'm not really sure what purpose that serves though but mind you, having a tank full of soldiers riding around and never dismounting is basically the same thing.

What definition of imperialism are you using to make this analysis?

Hey comrades, I had someone ask me my opinion on the Sino-Vietnamese war and I realized I didn't really know anything about it. Does anyone have resources they may be able to share so I can acquire some knowledge about the conflict?
