Miso adds much depth and flavor (umami) to vegan foods, highly recommended, especially cuz I don't like mushrooms but recognize the glutamates they bring to a dish

Globalization protests were huge in the late 90s (after the fall of the Soviet Union). I'm thinking of WTO '99 "battle in Seattle". Things shut up after 9/11 & Iraq as neoliberalism became encased as a permanent fixture in global society. I'm more surprised it has a resurgence, unless you mean right wing "globalization" fears, which is just white supremacist anxiety

Do what feels right. I've passively followed your posts for a while and see myself a lot in your search for a partner and the emotional quandaries you go through. I stumbled into a serious monogamous relationship in my early 20s (late 30s now) and I feel like I'd be exactly in your situation had life not worked out that way. I hope love finds you

Rolling out menu change on a Tuesday. Maybe management is keeping the "heavy hitters" (you) ready for the weekend rush?

My assumption is that all significant institutions will use institutional bloat and bureaucracy to slow down any actually changes to their operations, since the 4-year timer starts on day 1 of his second term. They'll wait him out and then go back to business as usual

I will come to a time in my backwards trip when November eleventh, accidentally my birthday, was a sacred day called Armistice Day. When I was a boy... all the people of all the nations which had fought in the First World War were silent during the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour of Armistice Day, which was the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

It was during that minute in nineteen hundred and eighteen that millions upon millions of human beings stopped butchering one another.

I have talked to old men who were on battlefields during that minute. They have told me in one way or another that the sudden silence was the voice of God. So we still have among us some men who can remember when God spoke clearly to mankind.

Armistice Day has become Veterans' Day. >Armistice Day was sacred. Veterans' Day is not. So I will throw Veteran's Day over my shoulder. Armistice Day I will keep. I don't want to throw away any sacred things

Would a "Mathiest" be someone who rejects the divine wisdom of numbers (math atheist) or someone who embraces it (math theist)? thinkin-lenin

Ah yes, they took this issue very seriously last week

I was originally looking for the director of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and accidentally found this guy. His DJ hobby gets top billing over his CEO of Goldman Sachs status.

It turns out, the same year he became CEO of Goldman Sachs, he got divorced. That same year, his personal assistant allegedly stole a million dollars worth of wine from him and then jumped off a building. That same year, he also released DJ D-Sol's first track.

The Buffy guy seems much more boring by comparison
