You just do whatever you want when you want without regard for whether it's legal, so like, just letting your Eagle go at the dog park and not caring if he eats a terrier

It's just because history only remebers the good songs and artists. The 70's and 80's were full of derivative crap too but most of it got forgotten. Theres also just more artists nowadays, so the repetitive shit is more prevalent

Yeah but i only see the British using Stone, americans just use pounds from what I've seen.

1 stone is 14lbs, the uk still like to use imperial for measuring weight and height

A metric ton is 40lbs more than a 'long ton'

I've seen them say that things fall "because of density".

Like we fall down because we are heavier than air.

Like they think they've avoided the problem but they haven't.

You can make good reasons or at least plausible ones. 40k has planetary shields. There could be a civil war so neither side might want to destroy the surfaces of each planet and civilians. Battletech has spaceship tech being rare and irreplacable, and there are treaties limiting orbital and nuclear bombardment.

Sometimes the most realistic route just isnt fun though so i can usually look past the contrivances.

The fact the car he's filling in the song about petrol says diesel fuel only is cracking me up even more than the rest of that video.

I have no expertise or evidence, but i just assumed this was from an old book (maybe 1920's or earlier?).

I imagine 'The gaming' would refer to gambling.

That or maybe hunting game.
