Honestly these days they could process the audio on your phone with a small audio classification machine learning model, although nowadays phone os's show if the mic is in use

I imagine it would be really annoying to set up after taking it out of a backpack. I think it would be much more practical to just use a laptop with the xreal glasses

Yes. It uses basestation 2.0s which use slightly different technology than basestation 1.0. Basestation 2.0 devices like index, vive trackers and tundra trackers have backwards compatability with the 1.0 basestations but you cant use og vive and other 1.0 devices with basestation 2.0

If they were able to guess your pin, you should probably switch to a longer pin or a password. It seems insane at first to type a long password, but if you pick two long scientific words, its secure with only letters.

Personally, I like using the terminal on my phone, and the only terminal I found for iOS is extremely slow because its emulating linux.

I think magma is something else, the tos on aggie.io doesn't mention anything about copyright.

Idk, there's a wide range of text related tasks. Some of those tasks, I would say emacs is very good at (like programming or taking notes), and others are good enough (like email and file management). The reason that I would want to use it for the worse tasks is that the text editing tools between the tasks are all the same and its all programmable.

Its all personal preference though.

I'm on NixOS also but I'm not using org-mode for my config, so idk how to help with that. If you do c-h ? you can see all of the help commands, like c-h m for your current keybinds, c-h v for variables, etc. It says just the key you have to do after doing c-h. Also if you use the which-key package, there's a minibuffer that shows ways to complete a command after doing something like c-x in a list of what command happens after you do each possible key after it. Oh yeah I'm using vertico mode which shows all the functions when I hit m-x and is kinda like autocompletion in an ide except for m-x.

I don't have any of the competitors, but the screen quality seems fine to me. If you hold it at a reasonable distance you can't really see the pixels. Compared to my switch it is definitely heavier and bigger, so its not very comfortable to hold up because of its weight, so I just rest it on my lap or a table when using it. A small annoyance with the screen is that the resolution isn't a standard ratio so a lot of games have black bars on the top and bottom.

Oh ok, I didn't realize that. I didn't know as much about activitypub / lemmy as I thought. Sorry.
