Yes. It uses basestation 2.0s which use slightly different technology than basestation 1.0. Basestation 2.0 devices like index, vive trackers and tundra trackers have backwards compatability with the 1.0 basestations but you cant use og vive and other 1.0 devices with basestation 2.0

VR is not good on Linux lmao. I have a valve index and when I used it on linux, it had super bright lights on the edges of the display. I ignored this and played for like 30 mins and after 1 month of no VR usage (busyness), I tested it on windows again and now the edges of my displays in my headset appear to be permanently tinged slightly lighter than the rest of the screen.

I'm not using my headset on linux again until people spend more time coding, because I don't want to permanently ruin expensive gear that I have lmao.

Depends on your definition of gen z, and the oldest of gen alpha has barely started getting into highschool. As a zoomer though we are on our way out.

That's great! If you need any help in the future, I'm always open.

Yeah performance isn't that great, its single threaded so if a task is taking a while all of emacs is frozen. It usually isn't terrible though and is better than VS Code, and the text editing part is faster than VS Code on large text files anyways.

I'm on NixOS also but I'm not using org-mode for my config, so idk how to help with that. If you do c-h ? you can see all of the help commands, like c-h m for your current keybinds, c-h v for variables, etc. It says just the key you have to do after doing c-h. Also if you use the which-key package, there's a minibuffer that shows ways to complete a command after doing something like c-x in a list of what command happens after you do each possible key after it. Oh yeah I'm using vertico mode which shows all the functions when I hit m-x and is kinda like autocompletion in an ide except for m-x.

If you have the time to learn emacs, its really good for note taking. I don't think any app other than Vim could compete in taking notes in my math class.

Oh ok, I didn't realize that. I didn't know as much about activitypub / lemmy as I thought. Sorry.
