OK, so a lot of people have a recurring dream where you have to go back to high school because you missed a graduation requirement, even though you're a grown-ass adult. But I'm curious if anyone knows what would actually happen in this scenario. Would they wave it off, or would you need to take a college class, or get your GED (or equivalent)? Any educators out there to enlighten us?

Didn't see anyone post this, apologies if I'm late to the draw: Character.ai getting sued because their chatbot posed as a doctor

Yes, dear reader, the author of The God Delusion is now suffering from a Claude delusion.

Matthew Sheffield saw his chance and he took it. (WTF is the rest of that article tho)

I have deliberately taken a break from painting, because we adopted a kitten and I am waiting for him to become less of a feline tornado before I break the acrylics out again

If you've only ever heard "Gangnam Style," you're missing out!

I'd been pronouncing it as "Mackle-more" but then I watched Todd In The Shadows' new video about him, and I swear he pronounced it "Mack-le-more" for half the video, and now I don't know which one is the real pronounciation and which one is the joke. I have no strong feelings about him as an artist one way or another but I'd feel like a dick if I'd been inadvertently clowning on him for over a decade.

Cognitive behavioral therapy/dialectical behavioral therapy are not the universal cure for everything and they need to stop being treated as such

Honest to God, I thought a "Librephone" was something that already existed. I think I was thinking of the PinePhone or smth.

Yarvin doesn’t think Trump has the guts to pull off a full fascist nightmare.

It physically pains me to say this, but I think Yarvin is correct here. What IS getting done is bad enough, but he's right that you can't really half-ass a hostile takeover, which is what Trump et al seem to be doing. Yes, they're fucking the US systems up, badly, but they're leaving the structures too intact. They're still bothering with things like court cases and gerrymandering. You don't bother with gerrymandering if you're not planning on still having elections, yknow?

I also think Yarvin is correct that Trump and crew will ultimately fail because of it. That's probably cold comfort to the people who have already lost loved ones, or who are dying or going to die because of this administration (and as a trans person myself, I may well be among that number), but it's not nothing.

How is "bro" toxic...? I can see how someone who isn't a dude objecting to being called one, but that's not an issue with the word itself

Steven Universe. The online fandom was insane. The actual show was incredible.

OK, here's the thing. Overall, Peter Jackson's LOTR trilogy is extremely good. I think it's the best Tolkien adaptation we're likely to ever get.

HOWEVER.

The random "Arwen is dying!" subplot was incredibly fucking stupid and while it didn't ruin the movies for me, it did dampen my enjoyment of them. There had to be a better way to get more screentime for Liv Tyler, surely.

Last night I had a "back in school" dream, only in this one, the McElroy brothers were helping me cheat on a project. Unsurprisingly, Justin was the most helpful. What weird ones have y'all had?

"Should you" as in "is it morally/ethically wrong?" No, it's not. "Should you" as in "is it a good idea?" No, it's a terrible idea. And I think you know that on some level.
