Little late to the party, but Ive done DI the last bunch of shows Ive played. It simplifies things. If I were playing Carnegie Id bring an amp, but to a bar? Save some stage space, one less thing to kick over mid-set. Ive had sound guys mic me off-axis, lol. Im my experience, sound guys like giving you the XLR. Stage presence hasn't been that bad either, maybe Ive just been lucky, but they've been able to push bass into my monitor.
Its funny that a lot of people will promote large-government policies but simultaneously hate their government :]
The essence of hope-- The rebelliousness of youth.
Naturally. But don't get black-pilled :] They want us demoralized.
I dont think its even that convenient! It requires electricity, web connectivity and loads of digital logic. My state ID just tangibly exists.
Its hard to believe anyone would use the thing. It'll be more problematic if/when its used for regulatory purposes. Sort of at the desensitization still. Today.
I had to take a State exam for licensure a few years back. I was told that I had to take a palm/vein scan to prove my identity. I informed her Ive never had one so it could not prove my identity-- but hey, Im the crazy one. Its on a server somewhere now tho... Modernity is pretty stupid, tbh.
Old stuff just has the goo, its kinda funny :] ParaEQ looks sweet (aside for the 300mA limitation). Im sure it does great, but almost anything should get you some reasonable hi/lo-pass. Extra tone-sculpting is always a perk, but the filtering is more important, imo. 10bands do pretty good for sculpting, too.
Theres also an ABY up top, the second EQ is for the other (dry) output. Will likely biamp live, and this will leave my lows uneffected. The MXR 10bands are really solid. These two are 18v modded, as are a lot of stuff on the board. More headroom for low freqs. If you can find an the ancient blue ones with the 110vac plug, its even better than the mod. Can't recall 100%, but I believe they are (or were) built as 'gyrating EQs,' very musical compared to constant-Q.
Cable management? Whats that? :p My noise floor is low, AFAIK, so its okay. Im secure with my mess. Next time I get some loot Ill probably invest in more/new patch cables.
So cute you hate to stomp on :3
