You're right. Too many fuds at indoor ranges.

Real Americans build their own gun range in their home.

After many hours of deliberation and a long tearful phonecall with my mother, I've decided to pass on the opportunity.

My coworker recently told me he moonlights doing an online job while working our normal job. I asked him what he does and he said that it's hard to explain but there's a powerpoint that explains when i get hired. He said it's all legal and we get paid $10 an hour and pay goes out every week. He showed me he's made an extra $250 this week on an excel spreadsheet. I think it sounds like a great opportunity/s

Anyway what flavor of scam do you think this guy is part of? I'm thinking mlm because he's trying to bring others into the fold, but I heard him tell someone else theres a fee to join, and that screams pyramid scheme.

I had bought about 5 lbs of free range foster farms chicken thighs and every thigh was covered in feather quills. It was in 4 different packages so I'm not really convinced it was a one off.

I usually buy a different brand and have never had this problem before.

Do you guys usually spend the time to pluck the feathers yourself or just bin it?

I swear to god I'll buy sync premium if they give the ability to sort by controversial. This is the stupidest more redditesque thread I've run into and i don't want to miss anymore.

Lemmy is great and all. Love it more then I ever did reddit. But it seems like instances are more politically polarized than your average subreddit. It kinda harshes my mellow.

I do like that people feel more genuine as opposed to just broken records repeating overused talking points.

Basically I'm looking for something that'll help if my car happens to get stolen. Ideally it'd be something I can just set and forget, and doesn't have a subscription.

Any recommendations?

We shouldn't let the government parent our kids. I know it's human nature to be lazy, but the government isn't the answer.

Not sure if anyone cares to know but i decided to go with stubbs bbq sauce. First i put on a dry rub of Pappys dry rub and cooked to 160 internal. Then i followed up with stubbs bbq sauce and finished at 170 degrees internal.

I didn't get down with the apple jim beam so i decided to do shots of Makers Mark cask bourbon. Might have a white claw and long Island iced tea later. Catch me on my plummet to rock bottom over on !cocktails.lemmyworld or occasionally! Cocktail.MidwestSocial

Unfortunately I think I might just have to go back to therapy because even bbqing doesn't cheer me up anymore.

Edit: the chicken has clashing flavors only fixed by getting blind drunk. Don't mix Pappys dry rub and stubbs bbq suace.

I'm at a shitty point in my life where I'm just close enough to rock bottom to smell it but far enough that I still have something to lose.

One thing I still have control over is what I'm going to have for lunch. I decided on chicken legs. I'm going to smoke them with Applewood and score the legs so they can hold bbq sauce. I'm going to the store soon but don't have a favorite sauce, and I'm looking for recommendations. What bbq sauce is best to cook onto the chicken legs?

I'm pretty sure this happened away from home and I'm just now noticing. The scratch is really deep hitting the metal in the deepest part. I have full coverage but I'm worried a claim will raise my insurance too much to be worth it. I've wrenched on cars before but never painted anything because it scares me.

Is it time to start watching chrisfix videos or should i just deal with insurance?

This is literally 1984. We shouldn't applaud when they propose a surveillance state

I'm a security officer. Reddit pissed me off with all the rules and I was looking for somewhere that the internet felt more like the good old days. Haven't found it yet but lemmy is like a breath of fresh air

So my relatively new s&w m&p15 won't cycle the action when shooting. The hammer will reset but the bolt wont move at all. This happens with several different ammos, both winchester 223 and winchester/ federal 556.

First thing i did was clean and oil it. No difference.

Then I checked the bolt seals and they are in good shape. When standing the bolt up on it's extractor side it doesn't move, but will with light pressure.

I figured something must be wrong with the gas tube so I blew some carb cleaner through the gas port in the action (the nipple that interfaces with the gas key on the bolt). I expected it to be blocked but the cc ran out the barrel unobstructed.

I covered the gas port (in picture) with a piece of masking tape when shooting and gas came out enough to discolor the tape but not blow a hole in it. I know that's not super scientific but nothing wrong with more info.

I honestly can't think of anything it might be. Any info helps, thanks.

To my knowledge there's no stagnant water on my property, I've run water through all my ptraps, and I'm careful to not leave doors open. Yet at any given time there's at least 3 in my house. I can't sleep, i can't sit on the couch, i can't exist in the fear of being sucked dry.

The breaking point is when i watched my dog get bit on her head. I'm ready to do whatever it takes and then some. I will kill a man if it saves me from these demons. Any ideas?
