Yeah, that is pretty dumb but, in practice, I never go to a setting by drilling down through the control panel anyway. I just Win-key and search for it which is way faster even if I know where it is.
I am a little older than you and video games are my main pass time. I think Gen-X'ers are in a bit of a wierd place in that we were the generation that grew up with home video games but it had not also hit main stream yet. It does not seem to be as big of a stigma with younger generations.
Anyway, I do not ever plan on giving up on them so one day I might be a 100 year old gamer I guess. lol

I mostly use C# which is honestly also my favorite. I would like to get more into Python for some machine learning stuff.
No worries, still good to know as I never noticed that button.
I dug around and found that which is nice but I wish they put it more prominent in the UI. In the filter section would be great.

I think it is a fine line to be honest. You want enough users to have content and collaboration but not so much that it draws the corps in which is what basically happened to the web. Sure tons of web sites exist but a bulk of the traffic only go to a few of them.
