That's all fine and dandy until you get court ordered to attend these meetings as if it were a scientifically proven method of quitting drinking. It'd be like doing something bad and then being court ordered to attend church so that you can "gain a moral compass."

I didn't see any mention of Russian people in their comment other than referring to them being victims of bad policy. It's all clearly targeted at the Russian leadership/government.

Nah they'll put out a bunch of news articles talking about how much money pirates are costing them. If they get enough public support or line the right pockets we might also see Congress crack down on this 'scourge' that's probably totally linked to terrorism somehow and "must be dealt with swiftly."

Not to mention that assumes a launch serves no other purpose than putting those satellites in orbit. AFAIK they use these launches as test beds with the cherry on top being that they also get to deploy an additional revenue stream into the upper atmosphere.

There's also the future possibility of using Starship for launches which could fit up to 600 of the current Starlink satellites per launch.

My gut feeling is that the economy is sluggish and companies like Amazon and Zoom want to force this now because they know they'll shed employees without having to announce layoffs and hurt their stock price.
