In Latin sinister means left (as in the direction), but later it also meant evil or unlucky. That led to the Old French senestre and sinistre, meaning false or unfavorable. Then finally the English sinister meaning malicious.

The etymology for left (especially in reference to handedness) in multiple languages is actually pretty discriminatory.

The second one was a F-14 Tomcat in 1973, if I remember correctly. Basically they were testing the missile system and it didn't launch correctly. Upon being deployed the missile came back up and hit the plane.

One of the pilots actually wrote an article about the incident for a magazine.

If I had a nickel for every time a Grumman test pilot shot himself down I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Dennis Rader was a serial killer known as BTK (an acronym for Bind, Torture, Kill). His day job was installing security systems for ADT. Many of the people he installed security systems for were specifically concerned about BTK. He was also the leader of a Cub Scout troop.

It's a pun. The painting depicts the assassination of Julius Caesar. One of the most well known of the assassins was Caesar's friend Brutus. In William Shakespeare's play based on the event Caesar's last words are "Et tu, Brute? Then fall, Caesar." His actual last words are probably lost to time, but many people associate the line from the play with the event. As for the pizza thing, it's probably just a setup for the joke.

The Animal Crossing fandom is all three at once.

Some players are super nice and helpful. They do things like giveaways, share when they have high turnip prices, and let others in their town to recruit moving villagers.

Then you also have people who literally charge entry fees for their island. They'll use this to sell items and villagers to other players. I've even heard of people running scams this way. Even worse is the people who charge real money (this is generally frowned upon in most communities, but pretty lucrative on eBay and Etsy).

There's a story I heard many years ago on Tumblr about him. The building that the convention he worked was in had a glass staircase. This lead to a major problem with creepy dudes hanging out under there for easy creepshots. It was eventually decided that this area would become part of Sailor Bubba's patrol. Legend has it that he wore his skirt the Scottish way for maximum effect.

The Pikachu might be based on Cosplay Pikachu from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
