I would like to encourage more people on this platform to humbly bow out and respond with integrity when they don't know versus the "20 replies of arguments" that drown out the conversation. You might be correct but I think your response is in poor form (unless we're just celebrating being the lowest parts of social media).

I'm having problems rationalizing what you're trying to get to. You admit "the DNC stacked the deck" but you don't think that effected his outcome? You ran on the campaigns but have completely forgotten about the Nevada scandals involving unions and the caucus or what happened in SC when the DNC pressured high profile representatives to back Biden instead of Bernie (of which historically Biden has been horrible for minority communities). These are just off the top of my head, articles and references if you need them and I'll make sure to find you some more to help with the analysis.

Seems like you're splitting hairs trying to form some type of narrative. Democratic primaries have nothing to do with the two-party system? You'd have to completely wretch out decades of political knowledge from my head to even consider that nothing is connected. If there's a real, viable point you're trying to make besides "nuh uh", would love to be exposed to it.

Am male, stupidly so and grew up in the south where an active sex life as a youthful-lad was encouraged and I definitely filled that role. I concur that what you've said is the most common perception in our circles and definitely in western media as a whole. After getting older and actually talking to people about their childhoods and those from other areas of the world, I don't believe it to be a "destined/hormone raging" outcome that's necessary, but often taught/learned from peers.

If it was, we wouldn't be encouraging male individuals to find an outlet for their anger besides violence. You're also completely scapegoating like females don't have urges or hormones of which they have to battle with. There's whole societies out there that don't have the problems we run into because of our views on sexuality (but come with their own side effects like loneliness or low birth rates). It's also individualistic, everyone has different things they're dealing with on puberty and chemical changes. The fact that all males get the "it's hormones" excuse should be a red flag automatically that triggers further evaluation.

I used to be more lenient, but it's 2024 and people running for elected political offices with ZERO online presence just pisses me off. I know this is gonna blow everyone's mind, but a large percentage of voters wait till the day before election to research any candidates, sometimes for less than an hour before giving up. It's probably why most of them don't fill out information so a voter just chooses them and they're less likely to dissuade someone if they don't say anything, at least it might've worked in the past.

It needs to be a required special-credit for highschool graduation to fully research and demonstrate you know the candidates on the ballet for your local election and register to vote. This could be bi-partisan, get everyone involved. It doesn't take fully re-working a shafted education system to get more engaged voters.

I'm just kinda miffed by the whole situation with Oregon, first the drug re-criminalization and now a RCV vote just got squashed. Can't wait to hear about everything that went down like with Alaska and Maine.

Just wanted to throw in my reality living in a rural area and all the factors that lead into the same problem we have around here.

The walk to my middle school was 1 1/2 hours, 2 when distracted. All 4 lane highways, with no sidewalks. Bus drivers are in high demand with low pay/part time, bus routes can easily go into a 3 hour ride in the afternoon. There is typically 1 highschool per county (must keep the roster pool available for the sports teams), we're talking a 42 minute straight drive just to get there (so you can sit in trailers because they're over capacity).

They need to up the bus driver pay, de-stigmatize the position with people who are getting more than fair compensation so they can be proud of their work and a community member who very much actually, physically, is in the world of the growing citizens. Have an assistant who helps with the route and manages the adolescent children (bus shit was wild back in my day, like 3rd base shenanigans going on and I doubt it's stopped).

I guarantee you, no one having to drive through that shit-storm is enjoying or wanting that experience. Everyone's anxiety is high and they're still half asleep in the morning, with the potential to accidentally injure a child before you even get to work. Some of the counties have improved with better traffic techniques like time-regulated flow, roundabouts, and traffic assistants. But, it's still so depressing and makes you feel like you're in some industrial meat processing plant line.

It sucks either way. Having your kid get home at 6pm to start on homework (no internet on the bus, most assignments require connectivity) which can take hours, feed them, make sure they get ready for bed by 8-9, then start again at 5am because the bus shows up ass early before the world wakes up. Real public transit doesn't exist in a 80 mile radius around here, so there's really no other currently available options besides all the crappy scenarios being told that everyone rightfully hates.

ohhh data collection taxation, I like it. You would think it would be a no-brainer but look at marijuana taxation and the continued resistance to rake in all that public funding. Would make most of the controversy around AI disappear if they tax it's collection.

I'm just tired of my electronics doing "extra". I want to pause the video/player, I don't want that to activate other activities for my device to perform...I just want to pause the fucking video. They're all guilty of this though, either they show ads or screenshots of what they want you to watch next. I can't even pause a video anymore to look at something or show something. The amount of times I've paused to have a discussion and the distracting shit plays in the background annoyed me to the point I no longer use the "smart tv" to watch anything and only use the tv hooked up to the comp so I can actually control and have a pleasant viewing experience.

But he already offered to "Mentor" her personally while being interviewed after the incident, what more do you want from this guy?! /s

I had to look into it because all I was finding was still images or articles that talked about it but didn't have any pictures of it once you clicked into it. It's unfortunately real, this vid has a segment with Rachel Maddow and Jacob Soboroff at the RNC convention last month (where this took place) talking about it and showing them.

That video clip was the only thing I could find and it's on a horrible website, I don't suggest going beyond looking at that video. I spent the past hour trying to find the segment on another site but no one seems to have it (if someone finds the same segment let me know so I can update the link and remove the other one).

Almost 10 comments in this thread and near 400 words from you without one single explanation of WHY Mark Kelly is a bad choice. You're one example of why voters are so uninformed, you would rather argue than present anything credible for others to learn.

lol it's not a ball pit. They always have access points, this one has stairs that kinda blend in with the center pieces of the glass table in the middle.
