I've been on this train for a while that governmental organizations like the Bureau of Consumer Protections needs to have a site where all manuals, blue-prints, and technical specs need to be required to sell consumer products. I want to be able to 3d print or easily provide a machining service with the specs for a part ESPECIALLY when the original manufactures discontinue any type of support.

Same goes for all software or digital services that someone has purchased but the company folds or discontinues. I should be able to run my own servers or basic services off my own setup when that company no longer provides what I paid for.

Ok I've been wanting to ask this and all the articles don't really address it so I'm confused.

The whole rhetoric is that Trump's tariffs will impact the citizens with increased prices and it's really just going to cause economic harm. Like cool, I can understand that. But why is Canada then performing the same action effecting their citizens? I get it's retaliatory, and suppose to expedite (hopefully) a return to normal trade policy. I just don't get why this is the move when it's a bad move in the first place (two wrongs don't make a right and all). Please be gentle, I'm honestly just confused.

the ONLY thing that I find gives me a side step was the statement:

"it demeans women and reduces the sexual act to just being a physical act"

I think it has some merit. Though I didn't actually pick up on the gender of the prostitute (I guess we're all assuming). It still breaks the importance of the emotional connection to a sexual partner as you're learning about early adulthood. I don't think real harm came to the boy in this instance particularly, but I couldn't imagine being that sex worker. I would do it, but shit, that's gotta follow you a little bit your entire life and something you would always think about. Probably would be my last "John" to be honest.

The other harm comes from people reading the article, especially young boys. It encourages the mindset that the sex act is the important thing one must conquer, not opening up and being vulnerable to a partner to share that experience with. It's super fucking tough though, like finding him just a date would be better but all the implications of what that would entail for the people involved is just heartbreaking.

It's getting worse, I can't remember who but I was watching a video just the other day and their ad segment was the fucking ltt ratchet driver. You know, the one they supposedly made because they were tired of the market and the low quality rip-offs all the companies were just trying to make profit off of (it's a shitty plastic screwdriver for 70$, link to pic and it's being sold at fucking walmart now). They sold it as such a heart string story in the beginning, it's just another mini-wannabe corporation.

I don't particularly feel bad at this point for their continued reputation downfall and the people responsible. Everyone has their own personal story of their favorite company which has turned to complete shit (Blizzard is one of mine). They didn't come out strong but doubled down corporate style when everything started. That's fine, but anyone staying and putting up with the stressful workplace knows what they've gotten themselves into.

I'm doing it right now, I'm asking if you're doing okay. I'm actively trying atm. I'll assume you are and go about my day I suppose.

  1. just anecdotal, like I said from posts I'm viewing, I won't pick apart your post history for an opportunity for you to argue more :P
  2. K, I was attempting to care but it doesn't matter. Trying to create a more positive perspective of you to myself (since you're so prevalent around here) and I see that I've failed lol

You know, it's comments like this that make me laugh and realize how much of a privileged life someone has. Anyone saying, "Oh, it only takes 10 mins to make bread crumbs!", has never actually been required to make all of their food homemade. Let's take a journey and use a generic recipe.

  • bake at 275 degrees until dry, about 10-to-15 minutes

ok so maybe 15 mins, preheat oven, getting it all ready, maybe like 30 mins but very relaxed. Lowest priced loaf of bread is $1.39 at a local grocer (it's a horrible brand that's more airpockets and made from the cheapest ingredients possible but it's still counts as bread).

  • Add them to the food processor, and process them until coarsely crumbed.

Oh shit, now I need a food processor (cheapest is 40 on amazon and walmart), or I could stand at a blender for 2 hours doing one handfull at a time (if I have a blender). Wait, wasn't this only suppose to take 10 mins?

Ok let's just chop the bread by hand, now we're about an hour into the process after it cools and is chopped. But I wanted shake n' bake, so let's head over to this recipe.

  • Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until evenly mixed and the bread crumbs are no longer 'clumpy' from the oil.

Let's see here, Vegetable oil ($2.99), Salt ($0.79), Dried onion flakes ($2.19), Paprika ($1.29), Sugar ($3.19), Garlic powder ($1.29), Ground black Pepper ($2.29), Cayenne ($2.49), Parsley ($2.19), Basil ($2.59), Oregano ($2.49). (all cheapest prices listed from local grocer, nothing premium)

So now we're at over 25$ for the homemade shake and bake ingredients. 65$ if I want a food processor to keep this under an hour. Oh yeah, I hope I have foil, baking sheets, sanitary plastic bags to "shake" it, a long term storage container for the amount I'm making. I'm over $100 as a fresh person starting life to make bread crumbs. 2 hours between prep and time spent getting ingredients.... and I have bread crumbs, guess I'll start actually cooking the meal!

You can make excuses for people that already have some of the required items, but generically you can't make that statement unless they're privileged and have hand me downs or time to bargain shop for cheaper appliances. It all costs in the long run and with homemade you're paying with your time that no one has. The whole point of the shake and bake was a convenience for overworked families trying to continue to participate in society in a "healthy" way. If you can't afford "convenience" as a worker, then you're not getting paid enough.

ok, gonna have to school some peeps with some pizza knowledge today.

First off, this is a thin crust. Dough comes to the store pre-made with perforations, you might get one small bubble in a thousand pizzas. So, not a bubble issue. (sorry @[email protected])

2nd, the pizza was cut previously from the incident as indicated by the cut marks of the classic "8 slice-large". These cuts have been covered where the cheese has been squashed from the smushing After cutting. (sorry @[email protected]) Also, the ovens are designed to only allow a particular height through, bottles on top of a pizza wouldn't even make it in and the smell would be atrocious.

C, the standard thin crust from PJ's comes only with special seasoning (a small paper packet of seasoning) and some pepperoncini peppers, it does not contain the round garlic sauce containers. If it had, the marks would start round and end round. (sorry again @[email protected])

Two likely culprits in my book, one would be the oven attendants personal bottle. On busy days you have seconds to cut, package, and add all the sides (wings are the worse with extra sauce on them and extra side sauce you always run out of). Damaging a pizza can be a daily occurrence. Lastly, probably a sauce bottle itself. There are several of such size and design for the garlic Parmesan, buffalo, bbq, etc. Whole container full of bottles you usually hand off to someone helping you catch up and probably dropped it into the open box after cutting and before putting on the heating rack.

The reality, this was probably a bad pizza set off to the side on the heat rack. There are no sides present and typically you'll see a wet residue from the peppers once they're placed in the box (you don't put sides in a bad pizza/one being remade). The slice stolen was probably a co-worker grabbing a slice during working hours and another co-worker took the rest home. Probably thought it was funny and snapped a photo for the sharing feels.

edit: changed cooling rack to heating rack, I will now perform Seppuku with my pizza cutter for my disgrace.

For any community (or even post) you are in, there is a "Modlog" green button on the side bar. If I see a removed comment I click on it to see what was removed and typically 99% of it is legitimate. The only downside (which I've been meaning to make a post mentioning it), is if someone is banned it auto-deletes all of their comments but doesn't show each individual one. If you're looking for a perfect system of which people can't abuse mod powers ... well good luck and definitely let me know if you ever find it lol.

The discussion seems very muddled and opinionated ITT because I'm not even sure if you're talking about a Discord Server or a forum/communication platform on a dedicated server. You might be able to slap together a Discord server faster, but the organizational power and not putting that extra work on users for Discord participation makes forum's superior. Part of the project development is sysadmin. If it's not, why take it FOSS at all? Discord is designed to take up your time, those pretty bots and "perks" keep you viewing. What could've been a well thought out message on a board with a reply now becomes 20+ texts which you're stuck communicating on. Rinse and repeat every day, on a forum you simply link the previous conversation and you're done.

I think it's a neutral wash atm, Discord may be packaged better to be mainstream but it's bloat all around with lots of negatives. Anyone saying Discord is better is just preference at this point, lots of counterintuitive comments like we need "real-time" communication but also anything else takes up project development, like Discord is some kind of time saver.
