I didn't see anything in the logs aside from starting the video. Is there something more I should see?

I noticed the app on my client was limited to 100MB via the settings, but I thought that just determines when to enable transcoding. I changed it to Auto. I need to test tomorrow.

Update: this setting seems to just limit what can be loaded.

I think you would have the issue of getting closer to the beans, but might be worth a try if you already have one.

A lot of hobbies are like this where people can start with lower cost options and then upgrade.

On my journey I was using a blade grinder for a while and I think it's a good starting place, but when setting up to a burr grinder, I recommend to not go entry level, mid level is going to yield a better investment.

I picked up the Encore ESP for the following reasons:

  • I'm lazy and would be tired of manual grinding
  • Coffee making not exclusive to me in the home
  • Nice set of burrs and easy to clean
  • Ability to add bellow to decrease retention
  • Equal to price of a months coffee if going out

For machines, the aeropress is a great low effort and cost entry to making great tasting coffee.

Great post to get a discussion going. 👍

I just ordered the V60 number 2 kit in brown. Should be here this week. I'm excited to take a try at pour over at home.

Yeah, you can re-encode on your PC to a compatible codec and that should solve your issues

Ahh, yeah that could be an issue. It takes my laptop like 11 hours to encode one of the Lord of the Rings Blu-ray. I also change the audio to eAC3 while I'm in there for better client support.

You can play in handbrake with AV1 encoding to see how it goes. I think I set the compression to 36 or something.

Yeah, I think you need to do it after any update. I do this on my OG Pixel XL

Android uses a Just-in-Time (JIT) compile of applications. You can compile everything Ahead-of-Time (AOT) via adb. It would in theory improve performance when starting applications.

I was able to see it using a flashlight shining across the screen from the bottom up, picture coming soon.

You could do this in Star Trek Starfleet Academy, but with other ships.
