We're restarting the Friday Advice / No Stupid Questions (NSQ) Post after a break.

This is part of a weekly series of Plex Advice threads for novices and pros alike to ask questions, give advice, troubleshoot, and share knowledge and resources! Please be polite and helpful to beginners just getting started out, and we want to be as welcoming as we can to newcomers to this community.

Common subjects can include:

Fixes

  • (EPG) Filters were constructed using timestamps in local server time instead of UTC (#14431) (Filters) Date-based filters could be off by a day in some time zones (#14342)
  • (Library) New TV show theme songs would not get downloaded (#14451)
  • (Library) Poster previews in metadata edit screen could become blank if the selected poster failed to download (#14360)
  • (Music) In some cases, less popular tracks were picked in stations. (Packaging) RPM packages are now signed using SHA-512 instead of SHA-1 (#14369).

long story short: a nuke (even many) has only a tiny fraction of the power of a hurricane, so if you nuked a hurricane, not only would it have very little-to-no effect, now you’d have a hurricane full of deadly radiation contaminating everything it came into contact with.
