tl;dr from the article:

  • The Nothing Phone 1 is now getting the stable Android 14 update with Nothing OS 2.5.
  • The software will roll out in stages and come to open beta testers before stable Android 13 users.

Update to 0.19.3? (discuss.online)
submitted 1 year ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Hello everyone,

Small question for you: do you have any idea on when you will update to 19.3? There is an issue with upvotes federation between 18.5 and 19.3 at the moment

Relying on !all to have your newly created community to reach most of the people could work, but using the Scaled sort as it wouldn't have enough subscribers to push it using Hot or Active.

There is only one [email protected], it has 15k subscribers, seems like a pretty good way to promote it.

19.0 and 19.1 mostly, 19.2 fixed the issues.

I stand corrected!

That would be nice

Interesting, thanks, I didn't know you communicated this to the admins before

And even more, the Lemmy codebase doesn't really have any important developers besides the two main devs: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/graphs/contributors.

Even looking at the contributions to something like Mbin, which has been around for much shorter, you already see 6 people with more than 50 commits, while Lemmy has one

Mandatory promotion to [email protected], also, do you think it should be moved to another instance? I am never really sure if the fact that it's on lemmy.ml is an issue to people potentially interested as I guess they may have blocked the instance

They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel

On a separate topic, I am thinking about creating a more laid-back, relaxed community for Europeans, without news (as they seem to be the central focus of this community). I'm still investigating which server would be the best to host it, lemm.ee seems to be a good candidate.
