Depends on the context of what I’m thinking about. I think that is the case for anyone that is truly fluent in more than one language.

Israel still kind of cares about PR as a figleaf. They are currently using aid as a way to herd people while arming desperate Palestinians to attack other aid shipments so they have a reason to stop them.

If they acted with complete impunity they wouldn’t go through that much trouble.

Austria and Switzerland have been around for more than 500 years longer than Germany. I’m sure more of these have had humans on exhibition to be gawked at like in fairs or circuses, but this is specifically about in a zoo.

I wonder what part of their focus groups decided that the Dems should try to be more belligerent than Trump. This is the kind of line that will appeal to 4 columnists and some of the less intelligent military people who don’t understand what an absolute clusterfuck a war with Iran would be.

Btw, has anyone made the Dorito taco shell thing with trump yet? Slap that on a shirt and libs will buy it like hotcakes.

The bar isn't high if you're complaining about the English pronounciation of Stalin.

Are you sure that they are pronouncing Japanese words correctly as it is? Because mispronunciation is a lot easier to pick up if you’re a native speaker. The way that Japanese is romanised is also catered to English pronounciations.

Anyway, a lot of Slavic names have a history of being pronounced a certain way. It is a bit like being the tedious guy that insists that Barcelona should be pronounced with a lisp or that you can’t pronounce the s in Paris. I don’t doubt that you could get droves of Germans in complaining that English people pronounce Adolf as Aedolff, Karl as Caerl, Luther as Loofah or Merkel as Murkul (4 Germans off the top of my head, there are many more). When it comes to Swedish names I’m shocked if it is pronounced anywhere close to correctly so it doesn’t even register to me.

I've made it to act 3 and am currently on wrapping up time. My partner is enjoying watching it as she wants to know what happens and I have to fight my innate urge to make bad glass cannon builds that will die if I miss one parry (and also doing all the minigames to get silly outfits) so I can continue through the story at a somewhat brisk pace.

Esquie is best boy.

German nationalism is arguably one of the worst things to ever happen to the world. Nature intended for Germany to be divided into dozens of states that could largely be ignored.

All Harris had to do was to even pretend to be progressive, but she had to jump on the ghoul train in order to impress 7 columnists. Why do they think that Negraponte and Cheney are good endorsements?

The dems were on a slight roll when they chose to do what the 'left' told them by replacing Biden and choosing Waltz for VP, but then decided to double down to pander to the right.

Settler colonialism is a real thing that happened in history with devastating consequences for indigenous peoples around the globe.

Still very much happening but it's only really being called out in Western societies. Meanwhile indigenous Tibetans are having their culture erased by Han Chinese, etc...

I hate the US as much as the next person but the meme itself is basically whataboutism.

How the fuck is this whataboutism?

The whataboutism is 75% of the thread going out to defend the US prison system by saying that a wartime prison before the age of antibiotics was slightly worse than current US prisons. So little discussion of the topic at hand.

Edit: oh fuck, found the millions of prisoners in Xinjang part of the thread.

Not recognising American places that share their name with old world areas is praxis.

Chainsaw church isn't very bright, but they've got the spirit. Guess this is the unofficial CSM chapter 140 thread
