The UN is a forum for dialogue. Expecting the UN to do something other than either say stuff or help by mandate supported by countries just shows you don't understand what their purpose is.

Walking out in this case sends the message. If these countries want to do something about it they can, other countries might intervene on Israëls behalf. The UN provides a forum to discuss this kind of stuff. So countries don't end up in wars they did not want.

Scary to think that the answer will be no.

Why the f is a passport office concerned with a trademark. It is a name of a child.. it does not infringe.

May their court battle be drawn out and their legal bills astronomical. They deserve it. All of them.

When taking on a company like Boeing, a company that had no qualms building and delivering defective planes, lying to regulatory bodies, concealing the truth all for shareholder gains. Everyone understands that suiciding a whistleblower is just another cost of doing business.

How does the DOD find it acceptable that a corporation is actively profiting from providing infrastructure to the enemy.

Probably because they are not officially the enemy. Hopefully sanctions will be amended to fix this.

The only time the mutual defence treaty was triggered is because the US was attacked and all countries in NATO stepped up to the plate.

Whoa it's even worse than the title suggest:

appointed a man to a top state prison post even though he had previously been fired from a local police force for receiving oral sex from a teen girl in a post office parking lot.

  • ~~He had sex with a minor~~ ~~he committed statutory rape~~ apparently anyone over 16 is legal in arkansas.
  • Lewd behavior in a public place.
  • While he was a cop (and in a position of power over people)
  • He is appointed to a top prison post (where he has a position of power over people even more).

~~How come he was fired and is not in jail plus a registered sex offender?~~

Apparently he got fired because he got caught.

Law & order, family values.. uh-huh

Using out of touch metrics that say nothing about how the median household is doing is not helpful.

On the other hand if you measure by how much the shareholders are getting richer, the layoffs are exactly why the economy is considered booming. Record layoffs lead to record short term profits for the wealthy few.

Combined with billions in weapons being ordered and produced, oil producing competition being crushed, while gimping Europs growth. The Chinese hurting from the Evergrande debacle and the lithography embargo.

Plenty of reasons for the US as an entity to celebrate.

I cannot understand how conservatives in the us that do not buy in to the maga talking points can still vote for their party.

They have seen the checks and balances in action so all they need to do is stay home one election cycle to give a clear signal.. this is not the direction they want. This will force the Republican party to face the maga extremists and go back to their normal ways. Which still is not good but at least not beholden to a narcissist wannabe dictator.
