What's going to be your main usage for the Mac?

Now I maybe an idiot and not picking up on the jokes, I'm back to Mac for the first time since Traumatic Brain Injury effected me in 2012 but I didn't think that cleaner and app uninstallers were necessary? I had heard decades ago that they can slow down your Mac, am I wrong about that?
Did you buy new or re-newed? I bought M1 MacBook Air with the 8 Core GPU Chip, 16GB Ram and 512GB SSD for $809.79 from the Amazon Refurb Program in "Excellent" condition back in June. It came in essentially brand. No scratch, ding or sign of wear. It was at 86% battery health but I keep my plugged in 95% of the time anyway.
