Why doesn’t it say MacBook Air at the bottom of the screen?

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Please tell me you bought it on sale

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

No, I spent like $700 on it

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Im going to touch you

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Just bought my mom an m1 air too last month

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

it is still very powerful if your last one was an Intel Mac, like insanely faster, quieter, cooler and last all day without plugging in ;)

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

This was my first MacBook/macOS device, got it in April 2021, still works perfectly and is in use almost daily. Best laptop I've ever owned honestly. Hopefully will be usable for several more years, maybe even many more.

What's ur battery health and charge cycles at?

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Do I find this in battery settings? Either way I'll check when I'm able to. !remind me 2 hours

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Open spotlight search and type system report, Then under battery or power(forgot exact name) you will see your health and charge cycles.

Or best way is to install coconut battery from google, it shows detailed stuff about your battery.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

91% with 188 cycles. I usually use it daily, but not usually many hours. And I use it on battery until it needs charging. It's usually my "light tasks" machine, like browsing the web, and do online shopping lol. And the occasional gaming and video editing, but I usually use my gaming PC and consoles for that, mac is just a backup there, and it's nice when i wanna sit back with some hearthstone (probably my most played game on the mac in particular).

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Its really nice health tbh considering 188 cycles, I have seen people use Aldente app and what not to preserve battery, and I have seen people with less than 50 cycles and 88-89% health.

I mean you bought a laptop use the battery LOL, why preserve it so u can use after 5 yrs 🤣

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

i dont undestand lmao

I got mine in space grey with 8GB RAM and 256gb ssd

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Did you buy new or re-newed? I bought M1 MacBook Air with the 8 Core GPU Chip, 16GB Ram and 512GB SSD for $809.79 from the Amazon Refurb Program in "Excellent" condition back in June. It came in essentially brand. No scratch, ding or sign of wear. It was at 86% battery health but I keep my plugged in 95% of the time anyway.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Enjoy it, had mine for 3 years with 16gb of ram it’s still working fine.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Why are you sad?

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Why you crying bro? It’s a great computer. I’d say it will last another 4 years easy.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

congrats! great little medium end machine that'll do more than many think. there's always an upgrade so don't worry about it if anyone says you should have got the pro or whatever. this thing will rock for many years

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Great machine, I own one aswell. Enjoy!

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Love … it feels so smooth

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Congratz! Enjoy it to the fullest!

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Enjoy your new machine ! Despite that some may say like "M2 is better, better to take Pro model", don't listen, this is now your Mac and I know how is it to start having doubts about new purchase (happed to me as I got myself basic M3 MBP with 8 gb of ram). So be sure that YOU are the one who likes this laptop, not anyone else. Again, enjoy your new Mac !

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

good for you 👍🏻😊

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Congrats! I was super happy making the switch over. I love my M1 MBA. Now using a M2 Air with 16gb RAM and couldn't be more content.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

The Dolby Atmos is amazing, one of major upgrade was the sound on these machines

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Speakers are amazing ❤️

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I got mine a while back and it’s so worth it

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Great little machine. I have one myself. Enjoy!

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Got one 2 weeks ago. Changed my life coming from a 720p screen, 7th gen intel i7 and slow ssd. And it's still faster than a beefy computer that my work gave me. I use it instead of that for computational work, didnt have a hiccup till now

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I got one a few months ago to learn how to code. I love it, I have a portable Asus screen which it powers through thunderbolt cable with HDMI. Can go like 6-8 hours on a full charge with dual screens.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

There’s got to be better deals than this for 750+ dollars

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

It’s looking great enjoy it mate :) I’m also on the market for either 16g M1 air or 16g M1 pro there is only 70$ difference where I live but I can’t decide 😅 Btw I still use the 1st gen X1 Carbon so it’s definitely gonna be hell of a upgrade 😂

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Trust me , I know it all to well!

From an x1 gen 5 to an m1 air is a huge jump

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Is this one good enough for a laptop? I alr have a powerful Pc and want something quiet and fast. Also is the 13 inch version too small?

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I think it’s great, but everyone needs are different.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Is battery life good? Btw is the 60Hz display too noticeable? I've been using high refresh rate displays for like a decade now and I'm a bit concerned about that one
