The “serious spam problem” is a dispute between two groups of teenage shitheads in Japan, and if anything a wake-up call to improve anti-spam tooling before Russian cybercrime and/or Florida con artists wake up to the fediverse. It’s a shot over the bow, but less serious than that will inevitably follow.
