I noticed the same. I use Duolingo to learn a bit of French so I enabled multilingual typing En+De+Fr, yet when I have to type in Duolingo it switches to Fr only. I have yet to find a way to get around that.

i have it set as en+it and i don't have this issue. But i disabled the english only keyboard as i don't have use for a single language keyboard
I tried that already, but disabling English-only keyboard disables multilanguage input in PL+EN
