I tried out slowing down to a more steady pace today, ended up doing my 20 minutes without a break! (other than stopping briefly to drink some water) I'm already noticing differences since I started, the first few days my core was pretty sore but now that's gone completely!

Proud of you! Keep up that inertia and soon you’ll have to set newer, bigger goals. You got this 💪

Hell yea! I'm looking forward to spring when I can add cycling most places as additional exercise! I probably could start biking home from school before spring but I'm not comfortable biking on ice and sharing the road with vehicles since the bike paths I take through downtown are all blocked by construction. I want to get fit but I also want to avoid being run over by some prick in a lifted ram pickup who has enormous blind spots

That’s a wise move, no need to take on extra risk. People are distracted by all kinds of crazy stuff going on in the world these days and unfortunately that applies while they’re driving massive vehicles around cramped streets too. Be safe, enjoy your newer, fitter body, and have fun looking back on these great decisions in 10 years’ time when you’re feelin’ fine!
