Remember to check that you didn't sign off with "Kind retards".

Once I started an email to a client with, "Hell Janice,".

... And then click send, and check what you just sent.

And it’s still wrong or unclear somehow.

Sending attachments puckers my butthole. So many times there has been horny right next to what I need. I freeze and don't touch anything, make the next move very slow and sure. It's important not to fall into target fixation though.

It would help if I just named everything that well. Everything on my pc is just a random mishmash of numbers and letters, or some naming scheme I came up with and can't remember how to decipher. CBT247domFFM is actually the finalized financial marks document for counter balance transactions from the 24th of july.

Hahaha I'm the exact same way. I've found my people!

"Is this seemingly random string of numbers and letters the result of some kind of coded system I created and can't figure out or remember, or did I just mash the keyboard when titling this file because I couldn't be fucked? Who knows!" Dammit, me!

Where in SharePoint can I find either of those files? 😈

Pointing and calling saves lives.

this hits deep as someone who is a compulsive checker

[–] [email protected] 6 points 10 months ago

Yup. But on the upside I also never messed up a dd command. So there is that.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 10 months ago

And yet you still forget the attachment because you spent too long proofreading the email.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 10 months ago

I do this too because every other word in my head is vulgar.

One problem I used to have was using the wrong email address to send work-related stuff. Now, work stuff lives in outlook and my personal stuff lives in whatever non-outlook email client doesn't suck.

This is not to say outlook is great—i fucking hate it.

I actually sent the opposite of a motivation letter and got into pretty hot water because I didn't proof read the sent document.

Boy did I get into hot waters that week
