Lemmy.world is still on 0.17.4, which is the latest stable version.
0.18 isn't even out yet, interestingly. Only the release candidates are out: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/tags

lolwut, that's bizarre it's not letting me use it unless they messed something up.
I guess lemmy.ml is currently on 0.18.0-rc.6. Maybe lemmy.world should upgrade? I dunno.
There's some more info here: https://lemmy.ml/post/1446622 (maybe you can downgrade Jerboa)
not sure if it's at all related, but jeroba has been crashing all day on my pixel 6. just downloaded connect for Lemmy from they play store and it seems to be working fine
Jerboa on play store is still 0.33. Minimum version check was added in 0.35 I think.
I just checked Jerboa's github and there is a lot going on right now. This much attention will improve the app rapidly but at this speed and early stage a couple of things will break every now and then.
Jerboa is running ahead and already targeting 0.18 API in their 0.0.35-alpha release.
Unfortunately this was not mentioned very prominently (or at least I did miss it) on github. F-Droid and Playstore still offer previous versions which work with lemmy <0.18.
Since Jerboa itself still needs many updates, I think it would be better to code against the latest stable lemmy release so that many people can use it for testing.
But I'm glad something like Jerboa exists at all, so thanks to the devs for all their work!
