I don't know about any clients but if you block the lemmit.online bot and the zerobytes.monster bot the reposts will drop by like 90%.
Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Please don't post about US Politics. If you need to do this, try [email protected]
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either [email protected] or [email protected].
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email [email protected]. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

I'll have to see about doing that. I don't want to give reddit any clicks.
From my understanding when you click on the lemmit.online link it brings you to a redirected archive, not the actual link.
Even still, I agree because it's annoying having posts with guaranteed no comments. Those posts only work if there is engagement surrounding it. No engagement and it's just spam.
Oh thanks!
Haven't seen many for a while but the last couple of days they've flooded my in.
I did this a few months ago and it worked surprisingly well.
I was also annoyed by the number of Reddit reposts. I started blocking the accounts that posted that content when I saw it and the issue was largely fixed surprisingly quickly. It’s really not many accounts doing this but they put out a lot of posts.
Added this to the [email protected] roadmap
Some of the main bots that are posting these are all on the same instance that are dedicated to Reddit posts, so you can block those whole instances in your settings
Thank-you!
Since reddthat is on lemmy 0.19.1, you should be able to block instance. You can find this setting from lemmy web UI, not sure if it's already on lemmy mobile apps
Thanks! Much appreciated.
I'm using Jerboa (mostly) and Thunder. Couldn't see it, maybe I missed it. I'll look again.
Just block the repost communities, there are very few communities with both reposts and an active userbase.
This will probably not help OP, as he's asking for an Android client.
Desktop users: install Firefox, uBlock Origin, then add reddit.com to your personal user filters. This way you can still access Reddit if you really want to, but it'll make you think twice before proceeding.
Thank-you!
I'm still using Relay for Reddit. Not expensive for me.
Block bots in your settings. Uncheck "show bots".
Thank-you. Done.
I think you can just use a firewall. Instead of content from banned sites, an empty field will be displayed.
Rule 5. Repost in an android or Reddit community. Locking.
