I've been playing batomon battles and it's fun just a funny little auto battler, I haven't learnt the names of any of the mons though BUT i remember you've recommended playing Casette Beasts before so I'm considering splashing out to get the switch version to play over the summer holidays
post
I worked a 12 hour day yesterday and was so beaten down but I still dragged my corpse to the club to dance with friends and had an amazing time. I found myself dancing with this other cutie doing footwork stuff and made a new friend, too ≽^•⩊•^≼
Today, I am sore as hell but feeling high from last night. If I had just gone home after work, I'd more likely be in a poor mood
I'm so fucking good at packing boxes. When we moved from my dad's place to here it was a messy and fast and the packing sucked. This time we have Hand Truck/Moving Dolly and boxes are getting packed in advance. I still have reservations about moving but at least it's going well so far.

- Finished my first 4 audiobook recordings. I was feeling like it was maybe a wasted effort because they're royalty-share, meaning my chances of getting paid by this might literally be 0. I feel like I worked for free, and that was originally upsetting for me, but I took it for what it is. At the very least, it's something for a portfolio, and it gave me a lot of clarity of how to proceed. It also showed me that I can do "the job," which was a nerve-racking as hell concern for me initially.
- I am looking to pursue more shortform voice content, and I think I can excel there. I can speak in many different voices, but among them, I can speak in this very deep, low-pitched "radio-tier" voice (as I'm told), and I really think I can make excellent use of it. I can perhaps pursue other opportunities. I am getting better at changing the tone as well as the gender of my voice at will.
- A beautiful, wonderful, and amazing Afro-Brazilian empress in my life told me that my voice is very unique and can take me far. She said that she thinks I'm very charismatic and will have a smooth time presenting myself to people. She often calls me "meu anjinho" or "meu anjinha" (she interchanges them).
- Making an aquafaba mayo-based bean salad on sourdough tonight, and I know that shit is gonna taste delicious.
- My phone should be arriving soon! I'll be happy when it does. Until then, I'm without a phone, but at the very least, this phone will be loads better than my last one. The phone case already arrived today.
Going over to my kids house today to watch Steel Ball Run. Probably ordering some pizza, maybe we'll watch some I did a thing and Boyboy too, we typically do.
I love it that my adult kid actually wants to hang with mom. He's the best.
Got surprise government money and basically got cut from work for walking by the place at the right time. It sits bwtween my place and stores so I pretty much gotta walk past to get food and stuff. Anyway, its been slow af cause Thanksgiving weekend and I think there was pressure to cut people before they showed up instead of doing the usual where we let people go home early. Anyway, I bought some gunpla and am panel lining some gunpla and am always a bit happier when I have a project going
All this manual labor, running up stairs and vegan lunches of mostly salads at work is making me massively hot and I feel good to boast about it.
Hell yeah! I've worked physically demanding jobs my whole life and have been vegan for a good while. You get to look damn good and surprise people with proportionate ant strength. I am built like an anime protagonist and weigh around 160 and can carry my own body weight
It's so much fun people think we superhuman or something running on salads or people questioning their protein intake when we do with just beans
I have worked kitchens for my whole life and line cooks are ironic as hell for this. I work fancy places where line cooks are expexted to know their shit. People are way too concerned about eating too much protein in the firsr place and protein isnt one specific thing and bioavailability of said proteins are a factor as well. I don't consider any of this for my own food, it's just my job to know food and i'm damn good at what I do. I also use that ignorance to get people eating vegan alternatives as much ass I can. When gym bros find out seitan is 30% protein they start eating it instead of a shitload of eggs. My arms do look pretty impressive if I flex em, but only then, my legs are tree trunks. I used to skateboard a lot and then was a punk who hitchhiking around and then spent all my time in my feet in kitchens and I dont drive. Ive got gams that literally won't quite.
Based, speaking on chefs I made one friend in the kitchen well several really but the main chef who makes my meals I always compliment his cooking because he makes me some amazing vegan dishes with what he has on hand. I'm holding onto a comment for when I see him on Tuesday of how fucking goated that coleslaw he made me with pineapple was, think cabbage carrots red cabbage and shredded pineapple. The other staff have legit got jealous with how good my food looks and I always be taking pictures of them
Pineapples coleslaw is something I have never considered in my life but makes perfect sense now that I've heard of it. Do you know the components? I need to steal this
Shredded cabbage, shredded carrots shredded red cabbage and shredded pineapple and that's it. I was skeptical at first but you get a bite and it pops so good 😋 I told him flat out if he offered this vegan stuff on a menu I'd buy it and judging by every one else's event so would they
Raw pineapple? It shreds?
Or maybe he blended it, idk I saw slivers of yellow at first and didn't know what they were until I started eating it
I am gonna try it tomorrow at work and see. I can totally see the juice working as the dressing itself
Grating raw beet on a salad is also amazing
🤔 never had raw beets
Deeply underrated. They are a lot sweeter raw. Beets reallt hit different depending on what you do with em and I love em all. Pickled, brined, boiled, raw i am so fucking there for beets. All of the most versatile veggies live underground. Beets, taters, onions.
You convinced me to more when I do my spice run I'll grab some to experiment
Hot as in temperature or looks?
My chickens are laying enough eggs that we are giving a dozen away every now and again. We gave some to the neighbors and they gave us some food in return.
We've developed a good little mutual aid network with the neighbors. One we've been exchanging produce from the garden and they have given us home done brew and helped with car problems.
New side mission acquired: see if I can turn this rendering of Tlaloc, the Aztec god of rain, thunderstorms and fertility, into a wearable metal mask

He's so fuckin cool man
It's FUGGEN HALLOWEEN TIME! I'VE GOT HALOWEEN NIGHT OFF TO GO PLAY UNDUSTRIAL NOISE AT AN OUTDOOR PUNK SHOW UNDER A BRIDGE!
Thank you for featuring this, Admins. That's very kind
Had the sort of day today that it is really nice to come here and read the new bloomer entries.
Going to go make a plum pie now, thanks comrades for talking about hopping crows. I saw a lot of squirrels today.
When crows decide to just hop a short distance that isnt worth flying.
Flying is tiring! Sometimes you gotta hop
My partner's been depressed recently but the other day we went to bougie used game/anime paraphernalia store to poke around and when she lamented the cost of getting a certain game for 3DS, I immediately said, "Y'know, I can just hack yours and you can play whatever you want?" I spent a whole day loading that sucker up (mainly because it's so damn slow to download from hshop), lovingly organizing all the games she wanted and throwing in a bunch of extra stuff like a PS1 emulator and Tekken 2 since she had spoken fondly of it. When I showed her what that doohickey can do now she smiled and I saw some light come back to her eyes.
I joined an anarchist club. They have the biggest leftist library you've ever seen, a muay thai class, really good education/organising events, various workshops, and some very cool members. All food on the premises is vegan and they like to feed you. And it's also pretty queer and diverse.
season 6 episode 7 bojack horseman made me weep like a sniffling puppy at 9.30AM. change can be so hard, but sometimes not changing is harder. <3
I finally convinced the medical system I should be on a GLP-1. I've already dropped like 5lbs in like two weeks after stalling at 214 for almost 6 months on the other medication I was on. No real side effects yet. I go up in dose this week, so we'll see how that goes. My liver needs this shit. I'm also happy that the person I'm working with now isn't pressuring me about working out after explaining how limited my time/space is. They also seemed to have more access to my medical records from my GP then they did previously, which cuts down on my least favorite health-care related activity, phone tag and information relay.
I have been reading Health Communism; it's good; people should read it.
Being a BJJ black belt is really cool. After over a decade, reaching that goal is a deeply satisfying feeling. I would do things like
Wearing the belt to the restaurant we went to celebrate afterwards
Washing it immediately after use so I could keep it by me
Sleeping next to it
Keeping it at my work station
Holding it when I get anxious
Comparing things in difficulty to getting a black belt
Thinking of things in relative difficulty if 1% of people get it
It's funny the way I feel accomplished in the sense that I have the thing itself, HAVING a belt, while the people around me celebrate that I HAVE BECOME a black belt.
I feel a sense of liberation and I think that's how I metabolize being enduringly happy about it. I can go do other sports that I left up on the shelf because there's an air of completeness. I did that thing that was supposed to be the equivalent of Naruto becoming the hokage. Only thing that's crazy to think about is that when I first stepped on the mat Luffy wasnt just on his journey too, he was IN THE NEW WORLD ALREADY. The series is unfathomably long
I made my veggie chili for the monthly community meal and this guy raved about it so much that it disappeared almost instantly
