Last few I’ve had are SS, I’d rather get a used few generation old steel than a current gen aluminium. Looks much better imo and for something I wear every day that’s quite important

Sapphire crystal is essential if you do anything that might touch the glass slightly.

I've got the S9 silver stainless steel, mostly because I'm clumsy as hell and wanted the sapphire screen. Not a mark on it so far.
