I thought at first the name "Nura" was from Esperanto, meaning more or less "current" or "up-to-date", but nope! It comes from the name for certain Sardinian buildings from the Megalithic period, "Nuraghe":

I have a tangential question. My understanding is that Google is requiring every Android app to be registered with them, and they're going to start blocking any that aren't. Are those apps going to continue to be installable on Nura?

I like it!! There was a brand of headphones/earbuds/something named the same thing, that one of my partners really loved. They were really sad when it got bought out and shut down, so it's cool to see the name go to something else that's awesome.
