For Better Or For Worse tribute-edit, by Mike Peters of "Mother Goose & Grimm," 1997.
Not sure how many here remember these. FBoFW ended about 10yrs later, after a ~30yr run. It was one of those rare-ish strips that aged the characters naturally. MG&G is still going strong.

Man, I haven't thought about either of these strips in decades far, far too long.
great edit, great fourth wall break, great art style, holding the speech bubble in hand makes the joke nice and clear. my only gripe would be that it takes 3 panels of confusion before the payoff, which feels like a long stretch
This could be my house when my wife is having a bad day.
