Macklemore, in a collection of Instagram posts, tried to remain cordial by saying Ed Sheeran was put in a tough position because Sheeran tries to remain "nonpolitical."

You can't frame genocide as "politics," Ed boy.

It isn't a "political position" to systematically oppress and massacre innocent people; it is a moral failing and should be a criminalized action. Remaining "nonpolitical" in the face of what Israel is doing in Palestine is legitimizing degeneracy as "political policy you can disagree with" instead of a "human rights abuse that has to be opposed".

Another Palenstein voice silenced. It is bizarre how people use their money and influence to deny even one positive voice. I think it shows just how corrupt people are and how desperate they are to prevent any advocacy.

Don't forget Pink - pulling the antisemitism card even though Macklemore has been clear that he opposes what the state of Israel is doing.

It's just sad that people who fought for years to keep people from conflating Judaism with Zionism, a very neo-Nazi/antisemitic/white supremacist tactic, just to have the Israeli government and Jewish religious leaders to sign onto it.

It also makes it difficult when Jewish religious institutions host people like Ben-Gvir.

Ridiculous, man. Sheeran should know he had more power than this Kraft dude, and act like it. What’s the point of being a famous musician if you have to beg for scraps? He needs to flip the script

There's no such thing as "neutral" on genocide. You either support it, allow it, or oppose it.

I know what you mean, but the inclusion of "allow it" as the middle phrase places it in a very "neutral" spot, literarily.

You could try "You either allow and directly support genocide, or oppose it.

Macklemore was the opener for Ed Sheeran on a tour but Macklemore got kicked off after loudly opposing the genocide. Many people are disappointed in Ed Sheeran

Also Macklemore has always been good for society. They were on FDT Pt. 2 in 2015 and it slaps

There was a tweet a while back saying something like voicing opinions at all isn't appropriate because it makes the host company look like they aren't neutral. I'm recalling Rachel Zegler supporting Palestine after thanking Disney fans for supporting the movie trailer she was in, and the son of the producer of Snow White: "Yeah, my dad, the producer"..."[had to] reprimand his 20-year-old employee for dragging her personal politics into the middle of promoting the movie... Free speech does not mean you're allowed to say whatever you want in your private employment"

Fuck Ed Sheeran I guess but we all knew he was always a masc version of Taylor Swift

the stadium owner kraft, a zionist banned him from the stadium after he made the statement about free palestine, then kraft told all the other owners of football to blacklist him. ED has remained silent from all this, which makes him complicit. so hes basically banned from every stadium that Kraft told.

It's not clear that Ed Sheeran had anything to do with the decision, but him and more acts may want to back out of tour, until a new promoter is found, or decision is reversed.

Staying silent means he has something to do with it. Releasing a statement saying “he’s neutral” means he has something to do with it.

The only correct option is voicing support for Macklemore and agreeing that Israel is committing genocide (as it is doing). Force the venue’s or promoters hand. He has the money to do it.

Macklemore said that Ed had to make the call. Drop Macklemore or play Kraft's Arena. One arena show.

Isn't it weird how different people see things? I see Ed Sheeran bowing down to Israelis/Kraft not as a catch 22 situation, I see it just as plain old Ed Sheeran bowing down to Israelis etc.
