It’s very telling that liberals are so keen on rehabilitating the bush administration and the hawkish foreign policy that they aren’t willing to make it a party line that yes the 2000 election was credibly stolen via the Supreme Court and subsequent Gore capitulating.

The only time in my lifetime a third party candidate has had any actual effect on the election was Ross Perot, and he took votes away from the GOP candidate HW Bush.

The DNC love to pretend that third parties hamstring them and cause them to lose material votes, but it has literally never happened.

Let us not blame the Democrats from running scandal ridden and deeply unpopular 's VP Gore who had Clinton's baggage to carry. Let us not blame the Supreme Court who appointed Bush. Let us look past the fact Bush's father was CIA or how the CIA installed him as Governor of Texas along with his brother as Governor of Florida where the hanging chad controversy was.

Let us not blame Gore for running a shit campaign or the Democrats for tossing the left under the bus during Clinton's administration. Or the Clinton administration for their war on labor unions and the rise of Walmart killing home town stores. People did not forget the 1999 Battle for Seattle was fresh in people's minds.

Let us not forgot how Gore just folded and did not fight the Supreme Court despite winning the popular vote in Florida.

The entitled little shits at the DNC just deflect and forget. Think they are owed and failed rather than own up to their own failures.

People who voted Green probably wasn't going to vote for the Dems anyways, especially in deep red Florida. But the guy who helped save thousands by getting seatbelts in cars gets the blame. It is never the dems fault ever. It is never the system's fault ever.

Ask a liberal - given what we seen from Obama bailing out the banks on 2008, freezing minimum wage at $7.25/hr, throwing away universal healthcare for Romney care insurance racket, having his entire cabinet dictated by Citigroup, Obama and Biden being warhawks, not closing Gitmo, and expanding on the PATRIOT ACT bullshit GW Bush did, if Gore was president on 9/11 what would have been different?

I was living in the US then and old enough to vote for that election. Another missing piece here is that Al Gore had the closest thing to a sure shot election and ran the worst campaign known to man. He even lost his own state.

Iirc in Florida in 2000 more registered democrats voted for Bush than for Nader. They just ran a shit campaign, straight up. Nader had nothing to do with it
