GOP only goes down if democrats actually do shit to make that happen.

I think it’s clear the democrats aren’t going to do anything to mess with the status quo, and their calculus doesn’t super duper include the wellbeing of the American people. They are just less culture war-ry about it.

I see what you're saying, but they're very culture war-y. They just turn it on when they want to silence the left. "We can't fight about economic platforms right now, black people still get killed more by cops and were the ones kneeling about that"

Reports of the Republican Party's death have been greatly exaggerated.

Well, either the Republican party collapses or the democratic features of the US get broken. It's really one or the other, now.

During the rise of NSDAP, Jewish-owned German newspapers sided with the far-right party over Jewish working-class, who were getting massacred in the streets by SA and SS. Later, Hitler's regime would nationalize the newspapers and send their owners to the concentration camps.

Fetterman is banking his career on MAGA winning. But if they do, the regime will dispose of him when he's no longer useful and he'll be arrested (and imprisoned or executed) as a Democrat.

But Fetterman has shown us he actually doesn't have specific values, and is willing to perform any part in order to stay adjacent to power.

Fetterman is banking his career on MAGA winning.

It's unlikely to happen in the House, and increasingly unlikely in the Senate, so that idea is just more proof that his stroke did more brain damage than we thought. It doesn't help that he's hanging out with his MAGA buddies, who are experts at being obsequious in pursuit of their own agenda.

For real. I still remember this long bet from 2021:

“No Republican will be President of the USA before December 30, 2039.”

Only if you don't include Jim Justice, Jeff Van Drew, Tricia Cotham, Mesha Mainor, and Shawn Thierry (since Trump was elected)

This is almost certainly not true.

I don't think that Fetterman guy is actually a rodent, either. This tweet might not be entirely factually based, hyperbolic, and possibly even a joke.

I'm saying it's not actually true regardless of whether or not you take the rodent literally or symbolically. Either way, there's plenty of examples of them getting on sinking ships.

If you find it funny because it's phrased like a joke even though it doesn't actually make underlying sense you may find /c/rightwinghumor amusing.

Look, not everyone is autistic or otherwise overly literal like you and me, so it's easier for them to overlook the glaring error in this joke and find it funny anyway, regardless of their political affiliation. I know, annoying NT shit. 😄
