Milo Yiannopoulos, the British commentator once aligned with the American far right, has publicly denounced his past support for President Donald Trump after being detained and deported by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) last week.

Yiannopoulos said during a Tuesday appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored: "To think that the promise and hope and joy and the anticipation of Trump 2016 could, sort of, over the course of 10 years, collapse into this ugly, warmongering, whole mentally ill heap of crazy with some of the most unstable and lunatic people, seemingly directing the president's actions.

"If I had any clue that anything remotely like this was even possible, I would never have got involved in supporting Trump in the first place and I'm very ashamed that I did.”

Is he ashamed about the other things he's done? No? Then fuck off.

FAFO. Now he can wear his stupidity and gullibility on his sleeve.

To think that the promise and hope and joy and the anticipation of Trump 2016...

Gotta stop you right there, Milo. That wasn't hope and joy. It was good old fashioned hate put in a nice box to make the Far Right feel like they had a new movement. This outcome was anticipated by anyone with any real knowledge or the most basic critical thinking skills.

If he were to turn around and begin the long, hard process of undoing whatever he can of the harm he has done and trying to be a force for good, then he’d have a chance of redeeming himself. Though I suspect he’s too inherently narcissistic for that to be a possibility.

Milo is not necessarily capable of shame, but he said he was. That's a baby step, at least.

LOL, I doubt he's really learned anything other than how things personally affect this douchecanoe.

“I have a family. I have a home. I have employees. I have two very gorgeous little Bengal cats,” he said. “I’m not going to allow a politically motivated weekend of hell to rip my whole life away from me.”

But it's ok when it happens to other people.

Yeah, if you read that article it's basically Patient Zero for the incredible amounts of conservative privilege that is assumed.

Now, I wonder if this asshole might think about someone who is a leftist or non-white and not from some European country and not some well-connected right winger getting kidnapped and disappeared and what their ordeal may have been like, or is like?

    LOL, "joy".

The only people that had joy in anticipation of tiny-d donnie was people that YOU were encouraging on the alt-right, and it's because they looked forward to having unstable lunatics doing awful things to people they thought were unhumans.

Frankly, this whole thing is probably very good for his brand, which is making money by being the center of attention at literally any cost

The fact that anyone is even talking about this shithead again is probably the best thing that’s happened to him in years. it’s almost certainly instantly revitalized his career of being a tremendous piece of shit.

It is rumored that Laura Loomer reported him to ICE out of spite in some cunty bitch fight between the two of them, but she may have actually done him the biggest possible favor ever by providing him exactly what he always wants: victimhood and relevance. The fuel on which his shitty fire burns.

(seriously, no one‘s even heard from this son of a bitch for eight or nine years, and now he’s front and center in the news? Fuck!)

I doubt it will even be a matter of hours until he’s got an entire new YouTube channel and book deal dedicated to this bullshit, just raking in the money

yea, the entire maga brand is all about being vastly superior to every other group in every possible way, while simultaneously being perpetually oppressed and victimized by the very people who are supposedly so inferior to them

it's all mind-bogglingly asinine bullshit. let him stir up the whole planet's gay-but-also-maga acolytes into a frenzy from abroad. go get'em tiger

You’re right. Ignore all of this nonsense and let him fade into obscurity. His former followers will trash him, because he dared criticize ICE, and thus, dared to criticize The Leader.

We’re in election season for midterms, and the presidential and general elections start the very next day after midterms, so we are effectively in the presidential elections as well - that means we have to stop giving attention to distractions and people who grift from them, like Milo. If they’re not moving the needle on the most important decisions being made in the next two years, it’s a distraction and a grift, just ignore it, put it on hold, or let the experts handle it, especially if there’s literally nothing you can do except amplify a message you have been handed by someone else.

He briefly repudiated prez when it looked like he was toast after 2020, then embarked on a crusade to pull catholics to the right wing, (now known as the devil.)

Edit: I am not sure the repudiation was after 2020 actually, I forget, and don't care. I already know Milo is a piece of fucking shit.

He gave them permission to be openly racist, sexist, queerphobic, and xenophobic.

He basically said it’s okay to abuse others based on your own ignorance and economic frustrations. Latent, indirect hatred has persisted in this country for a long time. This country never fully went through restoration after the Civil War. This kind of nonsense should’ve have been totally wiped out. These douchebags capitalized on that cultural legacy.

These alt-right provocateurs never really cared about anything at all, other than earning rage clicks for cash. The people who were victimized by their rhetoric weren’t even a consideration.

From The Washington Post (my emphasis):

Immigration officials announced on Friday that Yiannopoulos was arrested at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and accused him of overstaying after entering the United States legally in May 2019 through New York City. An immigration judge issued a final order of removal on July 22 after Yiannopoulos failed to show up for his immigration hearing, a DHS spokesperson wrote in an email.

“He chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws,” a spokesperson for DHS wrote in an emailed statement.

Very much a "never thought the leopards would eat MY face" moment. I'm mercifully not familiar with the details of the positions this tryhard advocates, but I presume he thought an immigration crackdown was for brown-skinned people, not for light-skinned people like him?

some of the most unstable and lunatic people, seemingly directing the president's actions.

He seems to imply here that Trump himself is not the one responsible here, as if this is not what he wanted. I don't disagree that Trump is being used, but he is definitely responsible.

Gay guy who now says he's not gay? In the pre-donnie times he jumped on the gamergate nonsense, and he was a rising star among the alt-right in little-d donnie's first failed term.

But now known for having his rising star among the alt-right being snuffed out by his past statements that seemed to encourage pedophilia between boys and men.

Oh, and now, hilariously, he's going to be known as a poster boy for the Leopard Party. What a fucking dumbass.
