Eugene Puryear is one of the closest first connections to DSA in the website and this article did such shit research it seems to think co-founder meant co-founder of DSA not PSL

    For now, DSA Explorer has added a new dimension to an already growing debate about online political intelligence gathering, government transparency and how far administrations should go in scrutinizing ideological movements in the digital age.

    It isn't a debate, newsweek. The current admin is mask off imperialist and fascist, made desperate and unhinged by the materially declining conditions, so anything they can tenuously connect to opposing them is something they see as a legitimate target.

    In some ways, this is how the US has been for decades (at least since the Red Scare), but they are arguably more open and chaotic about it now than they were during the height of their soft power liberal narratives. Which is not to say that political repression is at all new; only that the particular modern form of mass surveillance and infiltration is somewhat new, relative to the age of the country. Prior to that, there was chattel slavery and genocide so they had a solid basis on which to build callous, invasive, and paranoid instruments of state repression. For all the rhetoric about the constitution that gets bandied about in the US and principles like "innocent until proven guilty", the state tends to act more like "guilty until proven loyal to the colonial/imperial project".

    So it really has little to do with any of what newsweek said above and has much to do with the empire being paranoid about anyone acting in opposition to its goals of domination, subjugation, and exploitation. If such a person or entity is a true believer in the US constitution/freedom narrative, that doesn't matter that much. What matters to the imperialists is whether someone/entity works in line with liberation.

    But if the imperialists say this outright, they will sound like enemies of the liberal freedom narrative that is widely popular, so they try to flip the script and say they are going after terrorists or such things.

    Oh, they're going to be so busy and their manpower spread so thin if the DSA is the bar.

    There are active communists in DSA. Many of them are also in communist orgs. DSA, as a big tent Leftist party, draws in everyone from social liberals & socdems to anarchists & marxists with many of these people also belonging to other Leftist groups/factions/parties like PSL, FRSO, CPUSA, etc.

    Don't think for a minute that when they start snatching up DSA members that they won't go after their affiliates, friends, family, etc. outside DSA. This is literally what they did in Chile, in Indonesia, and everywhere else a White Terror was implemented.

    This is the FedGov openly preparing to liquidate the entire U.S. Left and using DSA as a springboard to do it. Be concerned.

    I knew that. That's part of why I said they'll be spread thin. I don't doubt they'll be dangerous, just wonder how successful they'll actually be.

    FYI

    Schizophrenia = psychosis (crudely, and even then only a subset)

    Schizophrenia =/ split personality

    NB The above are not descriptions of the people suffering from said ailments.

    They were probably going the Delusions + Paranoia route for their description.

    Not that we ahould be throwing around mental disorders willy nilly to explain a dysfunctional government.
