My cats are jerks. I spent a good part of yesterday cleaning my garage. Including sweeping and mopping it. First thing I see when I step out in to my garage? Giant hairball ruining my perfectly clean floor! Yeah I know it's a garage floor but one day guys, just one day!

But enjoy some bread.

Few tasks are more like the torture of Sisyphus than housework, with its endless repetition: the clean becomes soiled, the soiled is made clean, over and over, day after day. The housewife wears herself out marking time: she makes nothing, simply perpetuates the present … Eating, sleeping, cleaning – the years no longer rise up towards heaven, they lie spread out ahead, grey and identical. The battle against dust and dirt is never won.

That is a nice bread. What kind of flour did you use?

The only flour that defeats the stone!

Most powerful of flours!

Just finished 4 days of nonstop sailing across the gulf of st Lawrence. I managed to get here a few days before a social event so I now get sleep a bunch and recover with my cat in preparation :3

That's awesome! What kind of boat is it? I had a hyper fixation on Sail Boats and Nordhavens when I was on dialysis about 14 years ago. Eventually moved to Florida and the wife and I decided boat life was not for us after a rough dolphin cruise! πŸ˜‚

She's a good ol' 1980s 33 foot sloop. Perfect for one human and a cat!

Been living aboard for three years now and I don't think I'll ever go back. Kimda perfect considering my sailing special interest haha

Very nice. How tall is that mast?

BTW, I created a new sub recently. Might want to subscribe, since you like sailing: https://thebrainbin.org/m/Sailing

The mast has been fits-under-a-16-meter-tall-bridge-at-low-tide tall so far...

Or 15m + vhf antenna if you go by the drawings.

Nice long chunk of French NG-51 extruded aluminum

But for your community lemmy doesn't seem to play nice with pbin posts so I won't see them on my daily scroll πŸ’”

I'll try posting and see what that might do.

She looks amazing!

I've been watching my DVD collection more from disc (Rather than digitalising them, then watching).

I use a Raspberry Pi 4 and It's always had a gap where the GPIO pins are exposed. It's bothered me for so long so I finally got round to designing and printing a little cover for it.

The angle isn't exactly the same but it does the job and makes it look much nicer/complete. A little cover makes it look more like a device than just a Raspberry Pi weirdly enough.

Is there another hole in that case that lets air in for the fan?

[-] Browse8474@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

The fan just spins and moves air into the metal fins, the whole top of the case is a giant heatsink.

I didn't realize it at the time but one of my favorite vocal stims is "pin fins". So fun to say!

One of the tomato plants was screwed in the storm yesterday and had to remove one vine that broke. Several tomatoes on it, still green. Oh well! It happens.
