QMS-VRR doesn’t seem to work. (alien.top)

I have a 2022 Apple TV 4K and a 2023 LG tv. When I. Watch YouTube on the tv’s app it works flawlessly, but when I use the Apple TV I get the black delays and a QMS-VRR banner at the bottom of the screen. I have Match Frame Rate and Quick Media Switching both “On”. The Apple TV is updated.

Any other Ideas?

That was perfect. I understand what’s happening now. Thanks. I’ll put up with the minor switching annoyance. Only happens with YouTube so far.

That function only works for frame rate, you’ll still get the HDMI Handshake causing a black delay upon Dynamic Range changes.

So it all depends on what you’re watching, id guess the vast majority of what you’re watching on YouTube is SDR whereas other content outside of YouTube is possibly HDR or Dolby Vision.
