I love NB's work, even if others don't, that's fine, he speaks to me as someone that grew up with flicks like Aliens and The Thing.

I wish they'd given him a chance to make some of the stuff that ended up not making it through development. Sigourney Weaver said she wanted to do an Alien sequel with him, which would almost certainly have been more interesting than Alien: Covenant. He was attached to a Robocop film that didn't get made, and I think he'd have been able to make something cool with that. There was also a short released years ago called The Leviathan that was going to get made into a feature, but didn't end up happening. I remember seeing the short and being pretty wowed by it.

I have mixed feelings about the stuff he's actually released post-District 9, but given the absolute dreck that's been consistently pumped out over the last few years, I realize I've been spoiled. We should be so lucky to have more filmmakers like Blomkamp who have some vision and imagination.
