I can't get into twitter/bluesky/mastodon. I don't like following specific users and I don't like the format 🤷🏽♂️I always end up following someone who then overwhelm whatever feed I have then libs out. I just pop into reddit/lemmy and post whatever shows up and in my inbox then bounce, the maintenance on microblogging is exhausting to me

You mean the social media system designed to be just like twitter except with even worse engagement with other users isn't retaining active users?
Idk I just don't like the app itself. It's slow af.
Crazy that Threads still does so well in so many metrics considering its place in popular culture is almost nothing. Bluesky, for as small as it is and apparently struggling, still gets a fair amount of play thanks to a handful of power-users and what not.
I've no dog in this race; I'm a Mastodon dead-ender. But it's more my methadone after I left Twitter than anything else. I've got some friends on Bluesky willing to ignore its connections to crypto and Bain Capital and what not because some of their favorite YouTubers or whatever are on there.
