i hate all the push polling and fabricated anxiety around how "immigration" is framed.
money, materials, services, and wealthy people are expected to be able to cross borders as they desire, for recreation or material benefit & security.
but when it comes to working class humans, borders are somehow sacrosanct lines handed down by ancient god that must require intense and complex rituals of supplication to move between.
